Even if you don't visit Frida Kahlo's museum, this is still a great place to take a walk, and feel traditional Mexican culture especially architectures. There are some lively markets and churches, as well as many old real estates opened for public as free museum. Also, I really liked restaurants around this area.

Coyoacan is hip. There are museums and shops and restaurants that offer so much to do for young, young at heart and even older folks. The area comes alive at night with music and an assortment of social activities to bring people together for fun. I was delighted by the many establishments that served vegetarian and vegan friendly foods and the vast assortment of trendy shops. This is the place to be if you visit Mexico City as there are clean, safe streets and lots of friendly people to meet.

Great neighborhood of Mexico city, to see the traditional architecture and traditions of the country. Visit the main square, the churches, markets and plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy the local food and drinks.

If you want to see the sites around Mexico City this a great place to stay that is away from the noise. Be sure to stay in the historic district. Just because it is a pleasant area, don't let your guard down. I had my wallet lifted from my purse.
