The museum is worth a visit if you're in the area and are a Frida Kahlo fan. The house is interesting on its own as it the garden. It shows the style people lived in well. The main attraction is the house and the belongings as there is little of Frida's work there. Much of it is in an unfinished state. Not much info on Frida herself so read up before going. There are signs in English.

If you like modern art or "Guess what this is - art" you will enjoy this museum. We went on a weekday and the busload of young school children seemed to be in awe of what they saw. It is rare to find art displayed that was commissioned and then refused when it was finished or a portrait that was refused by a close friend. The stories behind some of the pieces are better and more interesting than the finished piece, because they are quite different. If you like fine art you might save yourself a few hours by avoiding a trip here. I was part of a group and a stop here was on the tour. What I found interesting was that the father built the house by his own hands. The home also has a very nice courtyard where you can sit and wait for the others to catch up with you
