The hotel is comfortable for sure. You'll appreciate the location, the helpful bell staff and the surprisingly good restaurant. The mexican food was very good for a chain hotel, even in Mexico.

The rooms were at least as spacious as the other Sheraton's I've stayed at and they've got the new Sweet Sleeper Beds. It was very strange being next to the US Embassy (no pictures allowed... trust me) but the Reforma area puts you right in the center of town with good subway access about 200 meters away and a Starbucks in the lobby :)

Octopus had amazing rates that undercut the Sheraton rates. They even honored their best-price guarantee for me and matched Octopus minus 10%. What a deal.

15 minutes by taxi to the airport, 15 minutes to the Zocalo and an hour from the Pyramids, all must see attractions.

The hotel offers the best service I've ever experienced. The waiters remember your name and what you ordered for breakfast. The bed was sooo comfortable, we almost did not want to wake up in the morning. Also beautiful area and views of the Angel of the Independence!! The Concierge is very knowledgeable and gave us tips for sightseeing. Everyone was just great. Strongly recommend it -- We will certainly go back!!

When I stayed in the hotel in the lovely city of Mexico, at February 3, I had to see the manager of the hotel and his security personal, how they acted in a racist manner against other tourists in the hotel, getting them out of the hotel, even without giving them back the money they have paid before for their journey.
The only "reason" they gave, why the tourists had to leave the hotel, was their national origin.
I was afraid that they could do the same thing to me and leaved the hotel the same day. When I asked for the manager for to give him my reasons for to change the hotel, the personnel denied me to see him.
I have travelled a lot in my live, but I never saw such a
racist hotel manager as the one of the Sheraton Maria Isabel in Mexico City.

I have been staying at this hotel since 1999 and find it one of the most accomodating hotels in Latin America. The staff is almost like family and the rooms always comfortable. Staying in the Tower portion of the hotel that faces the Reforma and "El Angel" is the best way to orient yourself to the "Zona Rosa" and the attractions there. The authorized taxis at the hotel are the best way to travel about the City. Courtesy and attention is the hallmark of the hotel staff

a 60's four star business hotel.
Good modern gym, small rooftop pool and sundeck.
Near to bars/restaurants/centre/chapultipec park/museums etc.
Lacking in character, but a reliable bet if you can't be bothered taking the risk on somewhere with character!!

I was on business in Mexico City and stayed three nights at the Maria Isabel. The service is very good, the restaurant is adequate and the rooms are comfortable enough. The bed is very comfortable, one of Sheraton's new marketing angles. I would have liked more water pressure, but it got the job done. I would recommend this hotel to a business traveler or to vacationers. The location is excellent. The staff was most curteous and helpful. Call a "Sitio" taxi in lieu of using a hotel taxi if you'd like to save about 30% on fares.

I loved the fact that when we asked for a room with a view of the Angel of Independence we were given it, no questions asked. Service was ok, but we didn't really ask for much assistance. We stayed there for 5 days. The room had nice, modern, and adequate decor. It's right next to the American Embassy so we would see all the lines of people early in the morning. There is also the Cafe Sanborns that had a great breakfast. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurants because most nights we went to the Zona Rosa and tried out the restaurants there. Not too many shops to browse around, but it was nice to walk around with the touritst and locals. The place was bustling with life and excitement. Do not take the hotel taxi. It costs us $20 just to go to the Santa Fe Mall, which is 20 minutes away, but then again we are Puerto Rican and Filipino descent and could mix with the crowds so for fair skinned travelers you may have to be cautious. Anyhow, a great hotel that is smack in the middle of the business district with its wide and beautiful avenues that are perfectly safe to walk on at night because of the heavy police presence, just not enough shopping for women. In the springtime, there were these beautiful trees that i don't know the name of that were all blossoming with lavender flowers so the avenues looked really great. The best thing about this hotel was its proximity to the Angel of the Republic statue and the famous road, the Paseo de Reforma.
