“A beautiful park with a few annoyances”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

Make sure you visit Chapultepec Park, but be warned there are lots of noisy stalls and lots of street sellers for food and tourist crap. But, in DF, that is a given. Would be 5 stars if the sellers would be town out of Chapultepec Park.

“Chapultepec, a wonderful park.”
Reviewed June 3, 2012

As per Wikipedia:
Chapultepec Park, more commonly called the "Bosque de Chapultepec" (Chapultepec Forest) in Mexico City, is the largest city park in Latin America, measuring in total just over 686 hectares. One of the park's main functions is to be an ecological space in the vast megalopolis. It is considered the first and most important of Mexico City's "lungs", with trees that replenished oxygen to the Valley of Mexico.

For more details, see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chapultepec

I personally like this park as a place where I can go jogging through the woods. Not many places that I know of have places where you can jog or walk through the woods without actually having trails. There is no undergrowth or thickets, which also makes it easy. I enjoy the fresh air and the smell of the trees and leaves, especially the eucalyptus.

At one time the park was littered with vendors and stalls selling food ant all kinds of tourist items. Now, all these vendors have been relocated to one area on the other side of the lake. This makes it nice because you don't have to see these vendors unless you actually want to.

There are also many other attractions in this tremendous park. For details, see the Wikipedia article mentioned above.

“An enormous, lovely restful park”
Reviewed April 20, 2012

It's hard to see how a park could be much nicer than Chapultepec -- setting aside the many attractions on the park grounds (including the Castillo, zoo, modern art museum, etc.) There are many nice smaller parks in Mexico City that provide a respite from the busy city scene, but this one is so big that you can practically forget that you are in the city (though admittedly not quite).
