The hotel is a boutique hotel near Polanco. It is next to a rundown parking lot, which makes pulling in to the lobby a little awkward in appearance, but don't let that bother you. Inside, this hotel has nice luxuries. The rooms are a bit small, but nicely decorated (modern). Consider going out for dinner. Several nearby restaurants.

I spent a week in this hotel. At the begining I didn´t like it very much. But at the end of my stay I appreciated all the efforts that staff did for having me happy. I was not an easy client. This is not a family hotel. The room I had, it was a little bit small. However, being honest, the room had everything: Cable TV, regular bathroom, regular bed, very clean and an uggly window view. Everything was in place: enough towels, hot water, regular safebox even a nice mirror. The neighbors and beltboy said that the place is safe and quiet. The best of this hotel: free wifi internet and the staff. Not related with the hotel but it is a city fact: the taxidrivers from Mexico DF are very abusive. Eventhough my native language is spanish, when they realized i was a tourist they tried to cheat me and . Very dissapointing

Visit Mex to often this week was my first time at Wyndham Polanco, they said I'm was to loocky they are at 100 always!.
Great location, perfect service, no need more, safe place, safe food (thgis iws too important) ask for Rosario the GM, she will help and solve any inconvenient with a big smile.
If have meals there Ivan or Beto are key, they will treat you as a king, continental is... just continental as any place, It's free so its ok. You also can have more than you may need on food, try a free beer at night at the 10th floor, you also can have a good local taste.
No ametter where you need to go, its close to here... please built more rooms and swiming pool with that you will be the best choice.
Congrat´s.. dont change.... keep on the road.... maybe more TV channels will be good.

Rooms are clean, a little bit dark what its fine for me

Room Tip: Just ask for a big one

If you are looking for a comfortable and budget place to sleep, Wyndham is OK.
But...
1. Forget the breakfast. It is so bad in both restaurants: upper floor - where you can see Chapultepec Castle - or lobby bar. Choose the cafeteria just in front, Las Carolinas, where you find excellent croissants.
2. Forget the food: it is very bad. But VERY bad. Try Los Panchos, en excellent and popular place almost in front (same street), very cheap. And go also to the "taquerias" one block far from the hotel (turn right in Leon Tolstoi street and left in the corner, where you find a Seven-Eleven market).
3. Do not ask anything to Wyndham people. The service, beggining by waiters and following by reception people, are lazy. Without a good gratuity, forget them.
4. Do not - NEVER - take a "special" taxi in front of the hotel. Very expensive, at least 100% more than the very comfortables ones you take in the street (Mexico City Mayor cleaned the bad taxi drivers last years, now it is a very good service).
5. Elevator is a big problem. Waiters use both os them (the same as guests) to carry food to rooms. So the smell in the elevators use to be strong.
Well, the location of the hotel is very central, two blocks for Paseo Reforma - a very beautiful and safe street to walk.
Enjoy Mexico!

Room Tip: Back rooms are less noisy than front ones.

The beds are great and very comfy, good size bathroom, everything was clean! The rooms are small. I recommend this if you go on a business trip or you are staying just for a few days. The view from the bar is amazing you can see the "Bosque of Chapultepec" and the "Chapultepec Park".

The location is OK, yet not phenomenal. It is right across the street from 'Busque Chapultepec'. View from my room was great, the castle in morning glory was a great sight. It was amazing. The lobby is small and only half of the staff spoke English. The hotel taxis were very convenient and always available to take us around Polanco for a flat fee of 100 pesos. the roof top garden restaurant on 10th floor (small but efficient) was great, again with spectacular view. There is no gift shop or convenient shop in the hotel, just a small coffee bar in the lobby for small snacks. There is a bank right across the street for ATM access. Taxi drivers don't seem to know the street and hotel and we referred to the more known hotel Fiesta Americana right across the street.
Rooms very nice and clean, loved the free wifi. The rate was Ok for the aread we were in.
All in all a great stay.

Room Tip: I had a single room with a queen bed on the 3rd floor with view of busque (park). Rooms on opposite...

First off, this property IS NOT in Polanco (check a map) It is nearby in a rather dismal area (across from the run down FiestaAmerica Hotel).

It is nothing more than a dolled up bad Holiday Inn. The lobby is tacky with a small coffee bar (no gift shop or anything that exclusive) and the furniture is something out of a Motel 6.

The "suite" I upgraded to is a joke. You walk in the door to a dark, windowless room with a desk and chair and then walk into the actual room with the bed and they call this a 1 bedroom suite!!

Once again, the furniture is very basic, no shelves or drawers for clothing (only a small closet). The lighting is out of a bad Chinese restaurant, extremely bright and no dimmers on anything. There are 3 channels in English on the television and of course no extra blankets or pillows in the closet (I guess they couldn't fit them in)

The bathroom is small and only has a shower with a plastic door and wall around it.

There was no wine openers or bottle openers and when I asked for one they brought up another bottle of water (no, the staff is not bi lingual either).

The "bar/restaurant" on the roof is just a large room sans bar (a few bottles on a bus tray was the bar) brightly lit with what is the best thing about this joint, the view.

I booked this hotel for a birthday celebration and upgraded for a suite in the Polanco and got a two bit tacky room in a less than desirable area paying more than I normally do in a very decent hotel in a better part of town.

Do yourself and favor and DON'T STAY IN THIS PLACE.

Room Tip: Don't bother
