This is an excellent hotel with a real emphasis on service from the moment that you arrive, the whole hotel has a special feel to it with excellent rooms, great bathrooms with a TV in the mirror and very attentive staff. I very much enjoyed my two night stay particularly when checking out at 4.00am for an early morning flight I was provided with a latte and orange juice on departure. A great example of how service should be!

The St. Regis is an elegant top-notch hotel with everything you would expect from a modern five star place (impeccable service, wonderful spa, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, great view, attention to details, butler service...).

Located right on Reforma (the city's central avenue) one can walk to the Chapultepec park and the neighborhoods of Polanco, Roma and Condesa with their shops, bars and restaurants galore. Easily accessible as well is the city's historic center.

Our personal favorite is the Sunday brunch on the terrace of the Diana restaurant, hands-down the best in town, especially since the new F&B manager has taken over.

If there is a downside then perhaps that you can somewhat hear the street noise, but in a city of 22 million people you can hardly blame the hotel. What does suck big time though is that they charge heavily for internet access.

We have stayed here three times so far and will certainly return if we need a hotel in DF.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on one of the higher floors – less street noise and better views

a very good experience. We stayed only 1 night in this hotel.
Champagne veuve Cliquot was served at arrival. a butler is personally asigned as well. Thus the service is exceptional.
decoration is standard, modern but not so much and confortable.
There is a indoor swimming pool with a nice view
The location is not perfect though for tourist because a bit far from sites, shopping and historical center. The concierge advised very good restaurants.
The grill restaurant is very good and not expensive.

I recently stayed here to attend our corporate board meeting and I was very pleased with the complete attention to detail, terrific service in the restaurants and in the conference center, and the comfort and room amenities. The gym has good equipment and a great view of Mexico City instead of being put in a basement like at other hotels.

This place was absolutely beautiful with every attention given to details. Service impeccable and we were treated like a king and queen on our wedding night. Bed to die for, rose petals in bath and we didnt even have time to try out the hot tub/spa on the roof. Furthermore, when I called the "contact us" number on the web page I immediately talked with a human being who must have spent an hour talking to me about the different options.

The bad: this place will nickel and dime you to death. With as expensive as the rooms are and as elegant is the place you would think they could give you free internet access. We had to figure out our flight status and call people through wi fi on our cells and it cost us to use the computer and again to use the wifi on our phones. It cost money to make phone calls from the room as well and one of the phone calls that cost money was a wrong number that the hotel operator put me through to. I told them about about the charge and they just said they were sorry. TV costs money to watch, drink bottled water or a snack, you get charged. Just from spending 12 hours there we nearly doubled our bill by the little costs here and there. One more thing, the tubs are pretty small for such an expensive hotel...not built for two.

Again, this place is so beautiful, but it would serve them better to include some of the services, even the mom and pop bed and breakfasts include wifi.

Room Tip: We got a corner suite...amazing

Year to date I've spent 133 nights with Starwood and this is the first hotel to not
upgrade me to a suite with availability. I requested one of my suite nights, I had my ambassador request an upgrade and I checked to see if I could pay for the room only to find they would prefer to allow many rooms empty than to upgrade someone arriving at midnight. This hotels policy is like no other in the starwood program and it's a disgrace to SPG platinum members. This hotel would rather leave the room empty then to give a
loyal Ambassador an upgrade, unacceptable! How could you leave the room EMPTY
and stick me with a standard room.

As for the hotel it's in a central location with a lot of traffic that will awake you in the early morning with cars honking in traffic and loud trucks driving by.

J&G was a good restaurant, service is good but I'm insulted they don't treat their most
loyal guest very well. Worst St. Regis Management I've ever experienced.

Dear Guest:

We thank you for recently staying with us and also for having taken the time to share your comments, we are definitely very sorry you felt disappointed after your stay at The St. Regis Mexico City.

Please allow us to explain that Suite Night Awards must be requested directly to SPG or your personal Ambassador, who will authorize or deny the request directly through their system upon hotels availability. Special suites such as Presidential Suite, Honey Moon Suite or those with more than one bedroom are not eligible for Suite Night Awards.

On the other hand, we are conveniently located on the heart of the Financial District with a breathtaking view of Reforma Avenue, reason why sometimes traffic noise around the city is experimented.

We hope that we will be able to welcome you back in a not too distant future.

Sincerely,

We spent 4 nights at the St Regis in Mexico City now in September and it was great. Being a platinum card holder, they have upgraded us to a suite with a view to Diana Fountain which was quite nice. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. We used most of the facilities and staff was very courteous and attentive. Specially the porters, they were always available with a smile and ready to show the best way to get to places in town.

The concierge also was quite helpful and the suggestions they gave us like dining at Fonda El Refugio was a nice Mexican dining experience. also the driver they recommended us, Mr Joaquin Carras was great and we ended up using him to go to the pyramids and to San Angel fair (a must on a Saturday afternoon).

When back in Mexico City, we will definitely stay there again.
