“Great hotel, safe, great location, great service”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

We stayed here 1 nite when we were on our way to Indonesia.
The hotel is great. Didn't really look like a hotel from the street, since it is an old building, but inside the hotel, is super great.
Lobby is clean, friendly staff. We came around 9.30 and they let us checked in early.
Lots of stuff to see around the hotel, walking distance. Lots of good food, stores, and it is safe for Mexico City. We got the room on the 6th floor in the corner, plenty of room for 4 of us.
Bed quality was perfect, TV channel were great.
I wish they had a swimming pool on the terrace.
Bfast was good too.
Will definitely stay here again next time around.

This was a great choice for Mexico City. It was just a few blocks from the main zocalo and easy to get around the historical area. The staff was great. The breakfast was very good. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel has a great location if you are interested in downtown Mexico. It's friendly and has a great seafood restaurant next door. The complimentary breakfast is very good and all staff is friendly. The beds are very comfortable and the house itself has a beautiful facade.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Great hotel for business people and tourists. The rooms (we had a suite) are very spacious with lovely spacious beds. Shower over bath. Our suite was located on the corner of a busy street. I needed my ear plugs. Everything is very clean. Breakfast is okay but basic. Close to the old city. Has no bar, so no drinks before you go to sleep. Recommended.

Great property located right in the heart of Centro historico. Convenient access to many attractions and safe. The staff is amazing, they will go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The rooms are clean, really nice and quiet. I will come back to this hotel for all future trips to DF.

We originally only planned on staying 3 nights but loved the location and comfortable access to everything in the historic centre of Mexico City extended for another 3. We were in a suite on the 5th floor - number 510. It was quiet, the beds comfortable, the room clean and we had a view of the basillica. There was a problem with the shower head which we reported in the morning. By the time we had returned there was a new shower head. On the 5th floor was the laundry (free washers/driers) and gym (quite adequate for an aerobic workout and some weights). There was also an outside area which was lovely at night - some couches/chairs. On the 6th floor was the business centre with two computers and fast internet (free also). Breakfast was limited with hot food but plenty of other things to choose. Staff were friendly, helpful and all reception/conceirges spoke excellent english (a big plus as in many hotels we found very few staff do). Everywhere of interest could be accessed on foot from the hotel. The area was safe but wouldn't recommend wandering around too late at night. Would not stay anywhere else in Mexico City. Fantastic experience.

Room Tip: We did request a quiet room - the suite and the location of it was recommended. It was perfect. ro...
