This hotel is Great!!!! Great location and great Staff. The rooms are nicely equipped and the people are just genuine. I'm looking forward to my next stay here. Every time we come in, the staff will have already have a great room selected. But they will also give me a different room at the time of Checking in. The location is superb for all shopping if you want to get some really good bargains, and all the major sites are there as well. This is the place to enjoy Mexico City at it's finest.

This hotel in a convenient location offers a gorgeous stain glassed atrium and well appointed, modern, and clean rooms. The staff is approachable, friendly and resourceful. My room was very quiet and comfortable. With a couple of dining choices accessible from the lobby, this makes for a perfect spot for those with long business days arriving back at the hotel too late to go out. The staff is quick to arrange taxis to any location and assists with the loading and unloading of bags proactively. The site is secure as well.

The location is excellent and near many sites. There are small cafes nearby that are more than satisfactory. Highly recommend this hotel and can not say enough about the staff. They were friendly and the breakfast was also better than most.

The Hampton Centro is a great base in Mexico City. We booked our two families here because our favorite apartment was already booked and we were very pleased with our choice. Service from the front desk, the breakfast staff and housekeeping was uniformly excellent. Everyone seemed to sincerely enjoy being part of the team, to the point that they consistently mentioned that they wanted you to feel at home at the Hampton. Yes, that could have felt forced, but it never did.

We had two suites, each with a separate bedroom with 2 queens and a foldout in the other room. The queens were very comfortable and the foldout was above average and remade every day. Other features included 2 flatscreens with lots of US programming, a safe, free bottled water, microwave and fridge. The included breakfast was exceptional for a Hampton; waffles, fruit, eggs, good coffee (regular and robust) and a rotating Mexican selection each day. We had chilaqilies, flautas, carnitas and cheese enchiladas...always served with beans and good salsa.

The beautiful, historic building has a very nice open atrium and a very underutilized roof terrace with comfortable couches, plantings and a canopy. The location is ideal; 2 blocks south of the Zocalo...central but quiet.

All in all, a nearly perfect experience that was notable especially for the sincere and completely consistent service. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the DF....

Room Tip: Half the rooms are separate bedroom suites...grab one; it's only a few bucks more.

The hotel is right next to the main square if you want the location. Me and my husband preferred hanging out near the park, zona roza and the anthropology museum. Service was very good, the rooms are great, breakfast is ok. You can have coffee and tea 24 hours in the main lobby which is an advantage.

For a four-day weekend, a friend and I decided to head to Mexico City to see their Dia de Los Muertos celebrations. This was my third visit to the Hampton Inn in DF (the other two occasions I was on my way to other states in Mexico), and I knew the friendly staff could help us do some itinerary planning. And, they did. They even arranged a tour just for us and one other hotel guest with an expert, bilingual guide who was both patient and flexible. The comfortable room, hearty breakfasts, adjacent restaurants, proximity to the historic center, and superlative staff members made our whirlwind weekend super easy and fun. I can't wait to return again soon. The Hampton Inn & Suites is an excellent stop-over spot, and, it is a great destination.

We spent nine nights here in a suite-comfortable beds, great maid service, friendly staff, and a great location--near shopping and lots of history.
The downside: the Hampton Inn breakfast is a typical one with slight Mexican variations. But it is not a very good breakfast-mass produced food, pretty similar to what is served in Hampton Inns everywhere. The fruit was not always fresh. Do not try the rolls--they are all stale. Which is also typical.
Only one person I talked to at the front desk spoke easiily understandable unaccented English. But all were friendly and helpful.
Wireless was free but not of fine quality. They really need more power. There were many times when it moved at the speed of molasses.
But all in all, this is a great value, clean, big rooms, friendly staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room. Corner suites are excellent.
