“Good location and value for money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2012

Stayed here for three nights. This hotel is great value for money, the location is unbeatable. Rooms are on the small side, but not tiny. We were on the top floor and had a small window with somewhat of a city view, I think the rooms on lower floors only have windows facing the indoor atrium. Room has most amenities, however I wish they had a minibar. They do sell drinks and snacks at the reception desk, but it's a bit of a hassle to go downstairs every time you want a soda. There is bottled drinking water in the rooms though. And you can get complimentary tea and coffeee throught the day.

Buffet breakfast is included, limited options, but the food is okay. there are two restaurants, we only ate at one of them, can't recall the name though. The food was nothing spectacular, but not a bad option if you don't want to leave the hotel.

The staff was very helpful in giving directions, advice on where to eat and exchange money, getting taxis, etc. They also arranged a great private tour to Teotihuacan - a must-do when you're in Mexico city.

Overall, I would stay here again if I ever return to Mexico city and I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a hotel in Centro Historico.

We stayed for three nights and have no complaints whatsoever. Our room was small but very clean and well serviced. The hotel is right in the main tourist part of town within walk of everything you need. There are plenty of great options with the buffet breakfast included for all guests. Washing machines and dryers are provided complimentary. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and speak good English.

We had a very nice stay at the Hampton. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the location was ideal for seeing historic sights of Mexico City. The real gem of the hotel was the staff. There was a major problem with construction noise at night while we were there. Erika at the front dest was able to easily move us to a much quieter room in the morning. There was even no problem with us leaving our luggage in our room during the day while we went out sightseeing. The two concierges we met, Alejandro and Erick, were amazing helpful. They advised us how to get around town, names of restaurants specific to our needs, and how best to get out of town. We really appreciated the service especially the night the construction workers hit the transformer and all the power went out. They remained calm and helpful despite all the stress from the customers.

Room Tip: The suites have a significantly bigger feel about them for only a little more money on the hotel boo...

I have stayed two nights on different occasions and both times it has been a delight to stay, everyone is so welcoming and for the staff nothing is ever a problem! I had a studio room with a lounge. Everything is clean, and welcoming. It stormed on the day we arrived, so I stayed in the hotel for breakfast, full buffet breakfast included..
They are in the process of setting up the wireless throughout the hotel but at the moment they have cable broadband in the rooms and the reception and lobby area wireless is available.
I will definitely continue to stay in this hotel.

Just stayed here for the second time. Location is still great. (Unless you're there during celebration times -- for example -- downtown streets were blocked off for Cinco de Mayo so cabs were impossible. Hotel manager very kindly walked me ten blocks to a waiting car service.) New pedestrian only streets like Madero are steps away. This place is such a bargain for location/cleanliness/service/style. Only downsides are no wifi in rooms (hard wire worked fine -- and they provided it) and water pressure/heat in shower wasn't top-rate. Upstairs, outdoor seating area is lovely -- but isn't used for much. They should really install a bar there. Right now it just a spiffy smoking area.

We had a great time in Mexico City over Easter. Due to a very small earthquake there was water pipe burst which caused a water outage at the hotel for the better part of a day. The staff kindly arranged for us to shower at a nearby hotel (less than 10 minutes walk) and then later didn't charge us for that particular night. The breakfast was good - although make sure you spray the waffle pan before using it! The only downside was a bit of noise from a disco diagonally across from the hotel, so I recommend a room facing the inner courtyard. Otherwise we had a great time.

Good location close to the Zocolo. The outstanding part of this hotel is the service, the staff were amazing! Just so helpful.

Free wifi, tea and coffee all day. The breakfast included was good too.

All in all a great stay.

Tip - if you want a good night out where the young crowd hang, head up to condesa. The hotel organised a cab to take us up and back.
