If you don't wan't to spend a fortune for staying at the Centro Historico, in a very good hotel and very well located (Centro Historico or Historic Downtown), this is the place... By the way, as all the Hamptonn Inn, the breakfast is included (very good as well). Very clean and walking distance to key places at Downtown.

What can I add to the title of my review? Besides mentioned above HI&S has some more advantages: it provides smoking rooms and breakfasts are included, that are rare things for Mexican hotels. Maybe this might be important for smb. Another thing I'd like to mention is the help of the stuff with organization of transfers and excursion with the guide. All our requirements were taken into consideration, all the wishes are fulfilled (even red roses),everything was done quickly and perfectly. Thanks!

Room Tip: Try to stay at the room viewing the street. The smokers are provided with the rooms on the 6th floor...

We arrived late and left early so this review is based on a very short stay. We accepted the upgrade and realized it was right over the street where work with a jackhammer continued until at least 10 pm and we think there was a nightclub very close!

The hotel itself is lovely and the website says it is close to the airport but at 9 pm it took 40 minutes to get there on a taxi. Our 5 am return to the airport took only 15 minutes. Also, I was sure it said it offered an airport shuttle, but once I was there, I realized it didn't have this service. It was a gorgeous room, but it had a slight smell of cigarette smoke in the washroom and the linen had a slightly musty smell - maybe that room hadn't been used for a long time...

At any hotel in the future, I will ask for a room away from the street and I will ask for one that is non-smoking.

Room Tip: Ask for a non smoking room away from the street.

we have stayed in Hampton Inn & Suites Mexico last February, the hotel has so good location, just in the center and close to Zocalo, Food is very good although there is not too much choice, the rooms are big, comfortable and always clean, the staff is friendly and helpfull, internet is great and free of charge.
I would recommended this hotel to evey one visit Mexico city

My wife and I were looking for something inexpensive, fairly nice, and close to the Zocalo on a Friday night before we headed to the state of Guanajuato the following day. I found this one on Hotels.com and it sounded too good to be true. It was $85/night, a block from the Zocalo, and highly rated. I found myself thinking, "Okay, what's wrong with this place?" The answer is absolutely nothing.

The hotel is in a lovely old building and has quasi-Talavera tiles and wrought iron in the lobby--beautiful ambience. The room is very nice and although it's in a very busy part of town we found it to be perfectly quiet. The breakfast is delicious, very filling, and complementary. A short distance from the hotel are dozens of lovely, fun, cheap dress shops--my wife bought three cute dresses for 510 pesos (about $38 USD). Overall there was nothing that we didn't love about the hotel and its location, and we will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: The rooms are quite noiseproof, so don't worry about things like ice machines being nearby. We h...

Reasonably priced, attractive, excellent service, very comfortable bed and clean, spacious room (it's worth the few extra dollars for a king sized bed and bigger room). Friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast, comfortable lobby, beautiful stained glass ceiling, nice outdoor terrace (handy for those who smoke). Complimentary Wifi, gym, in-room safe, guest laundry facilities and breakfast are all a huge plus. There are two full service restaurants on the ground floor, a 24 hour pharmacy / convenience store a couple of doors down, and the hotel is within easy walking distance to lots of amenities and attractions. Very safe neighbourhood for solo female travellers, which I am. Recommend highly.

Room Tip: Ask for a bigger room with a king-sized room. Even as a solo traveller, I appreciated the extra spac...
