“Absolutely satisfied”

Waiters all so kindly and swiftly received us and within minutes our drinks arrived.
Food arrived in a timely manner and was impeccable. Not even one plate was too salty unlike mexican food.
From appetiser to dessert, everything was fresh and delicious.

Even the words on the walls were entertaining.

I simply love this place and will definitely go back soon.

p.s. some tourists might get drunk and bit stupid.

“A little bit tourist !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2013

Great place to have contact with Mexican food, but more for tourists traveling thru Mexico City then people want to know the cuisine. Despite that, the drinks invite you to an amazing environment to feel like a Mexican, try the famous chilles and the tequilas with fruits to know better the taste of these lands.

“Fantastic Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

The food and service here was excellent. I highly recommend trying the steak covered in chocolate sauce as it was fantastic. The music entertainment was really good as well but was a little bit loud which made it difficult to talk to the other people at the table. If you are looking for good quality authentic Mexican food then this is the place for you.

“Great place for tourists looking for 'real' Mexico”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

Tourists and Americans in general seem to love this place. Probably because it is one of the more traditional Mexican restaurants in the safe and well-off Polanco neighborhood. They are famous for their (huge) margaritas, have Mariachis and offer good traditional fare, cooked for the foreigner's palate. Despite (or because) being a Disneyland version of Mexico many Mexicans do enjoy coming here as well. In my view Polanco has far superior restaurants in the same price category and for Mexican food there are much better places outside of Polanco such as La Fonda del Recuerdo in Veronica Anzures.

“Tasty & interesting dishes!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2013

I was in Mexico DF for a week with work and this place was recommended by my local counterparts. We were staying at the JW in Polanco and this place was a short & cheap (~$10) taxi ride from the hotel. We had about 6 people and everybody was very pleased with what they got. I'm a vegetarian and at first was dismayed to see that there really wasn't anything on the menu for an entree. At the suggestion of the waiter, I ordered the squash blossom soup (amazing!!!!!!) and the queso crema appetizer. Both dishes were some of the best food I've ever had! We also split a few deserts and I was most impressed with the cake that was very similar to dulce de leche. This place is amazing. I'm going back to Mexico DF for a three more weeks soon and I plan on going back to this place as much as possible!
