Description: Founded in March 1995, Restaurant Los Danzantes is a study in contrasts: a warm colonial building constructed with volcanic stones and natural nopales surrounding it; a delightful bar carved by Joel Rendon and traditional tones of Mexican music set to a modern rhythm; and, of course, a menu that features regional ingredients shining out in fresh, innovative combinations and fusion cooking.

“Perfect location and great placar to rest”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

The placar was great, every room has a beautiful view of Taxco at a good location. To be able to go to the city you need to take a taxi that will cost around 50 pesos or a combination of cable car and taxi (85 pesos for the round trip on the cable car and 25 on the taxi)
I think this is a great place to spend a relax weekend with family, there a many activities for kids

“Authentic and in the middle of a colorful square”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2014 via mobile

With great atmosphere and an excellent mix of traditional Mexican cuisine. This restaurant located in one of the most picturesque sites of "colonial Mexico". I especially recommend the Hoja santa a very aromatic leaf stuffed with goat cheese (a must for vegetarians) The tortillas made with blue corn made this culinary experience hard to forget. After that enjoy Coyoacan town!

“Hoja Santa must try ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2014 via mobile

A nice cosy place with nice meals and wine. You must try hoja Santa, my friend ordered one, tasted it and was jealous! This is genuine special. Tried to find it in some other places but never did :(
The only issue was we were really cold even inside the restaurant as it is open on the square with no heaters.

“A wonderful meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

Some family members who are living for a year in Mexico City took us to this restaurant, where we had a world-class meal. The food was creative and delicious, and we enjoyed sitting outside, lingering and watching the people in the park across the street. The various kinds of mole were outstanding, as was the seared tuna. We were a large group, and the service was excellent.

“worst food I´ve had in Mexico”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2013

Try to avoid this restaurant ... The food is inedible and the dishes you can manage to swallow are really heavy and will hunt you for days. I´ve had wonderful culinary experiences in DF but Los Danzantes ruined the happy record of mexican dishes and my night by the way. I really don´t understand why it is highly recommended by locals. Even the charred octopus was just awful.
