We stayed at Condesa House for 6 days, at the end leg of a 3 month trip around South America. Having stayed at loads of B&B's during the trip, and having experienced the good, bad and the ugly - this one was the gem in the crown.
Firstly the location is wicked - Condesa is a super hip, very pretty neighbourhood with tons of restaurants and bars and lots of nice boutiques. It is also relaxed feeling, and i felt safe jogging on my own which i haven't in some other cities we visited. We come from London and loved the feel of the area.
Secondly the house is lovely - for the first 2 days we stayed in the studio, which is essentially a self contained apartment with all mod cons: huge flat screen tv, washer/dryer (rocio, the manager was kind enough to donate a large amount of washing powder and fabric conditioner), and fully equipped kitchen. The decor was very contemporary and the apartment is light and airy. Then for the next 4 days we stayed in a large room in the house - the room had lovely original features, including a beautifully tiled bathroom with stained glass window. Again with large TV. We were super comfortable.
Lastly - for us, what was so nice was the attitude and care of Fernando, the owner, and Rocio, his lovely kind manager. They gave great recommendations, booked us a trip to the pyramids, ordered taxi's. On our last day our flight didn't leave till late evening and Fernando let us keep the room all day and evening, as his next guest wasn't till the next day. Oh and we also had dinner with Fernando and his partner one night, they took us to a fab Argentine restaurant in nearby Polanca area, we had a great time.
Rather than stay in an anonymous hotel, in a touristy area - we really feel that staying here and getting to know Fernando and Rocio gave us such a richer and more fun experience.

Amazing, uniquely beautiful stay, The host was a pleasure to have and definitely knew around the city and all the sights we had to see. Placed in a great, fun location for all ages and not to mention the food: always tasteful and never timely. Though we normally stay in four to five star hotels around the globe Condesa Haus is a bed and breakfast that we are deefinitely visiting again. Loved the rooms! xx

Condesa Haus is an elegant, old house that has been restored to have a few rooms for guests. It is on a great side residential street, close to a main street of the Condesa neighborhood.
The primary staff, Rocio and Fernando are very service oriented and worked hard to meet your needs and answer any questions you have. We found Fernando to be especially resourceful and genuine.
Not too impressed with the breakfast, although it filled us up, it was pretty basic. The eggs were served over cooked and they were plain. OJ was not fresh, but from a bottle, white toast served, next to a small portion of non tasty beans.
The room we had was very small and during the weekend, it was loud late into the night.
The pictures on the website are a little misleading, because in person, they did not look the same. The bed was not too comfortable and the pillows were almost flat.
It was nice to have more of a homey atmosphere instead of a hotel, but the location is what makes this place attractive.
If anyone has mobility problems, they couldn't negotiate the many stairs here.

Had a wonderful stay for 9 nights in 2 different rooms in this truly unique place. Rocio was gracious enough to place fresh flowers in my room. Breakfast was yumy with hot coffee, huevos mexicanios, cereal, fruit and they even cut up the fresh fruits which I gotten from a local market and placed in the fridge. Fer provided a lap-top for my use since mine did not pick up a signal. He also provided a local cell phone for my use which was a huge help in making local contacts. Easy walking distance to Mukta yoga which has great yoga classes in a sun-filled studio. Also easy walking to lots of places to eat, and the Osho Meditation Center - the active meditations there rock. Fer and Rocio will go out of your way to make you comfortable and at ease. Namaste from a visitor from New London, CT, USA. Thanks also to Rosario and Maribel who provided room service and also many laughs; I miss all of you guys.

Since we were planning our trip to Mexico City and got in touch with the people of CH, the response was wonderful. As soon as we arrive our expectations were absolutely fulfill, the house is gorgeous, our room so chic, clean and comfortable, breakfast delicious, but above all is the warm feeling that Rocio and Fernando gave us, it was like been at home with all the pamper we needed.
Condesa is an amazing neighborhood, we felt safe all the time, and is close to everywhere.
This beautiful B&B is an oasis of cozy elegance and perfect hosts in the middle of the huge and fabulous Mexico City. Highly recommended!!
