Rosa Maria did an excellent job serving! All of the help was very friendly. The food was very good and plentiful and a very nice presentation! The setting is unique and quite nice! And the prices were very normal for the center of Mexico City. Highly recommend it!

Was brought by a colleague during a conference in Mexico City. Not short, but easy walk from the Hilton Reforma. Probably less than 3/4 miles...plus you get to pass "Palacio de Bellas Artes" which is a great spot for pictures.

Food and service were both very good, and very "authentic" Mexican. We had the house specials (enchiladas), and a stuffed poblano pepper. The pre-meal guacamole was excellent!

Lunch comes complete with a roaming rondalla band, which adds to the experience.

Definitely will come back. Worth a visit!

Right off the Zocalo on Tacuba street is a quiet restaurant with good food and excellent service. This is no Taco joint. You'll find real Mexican food here at reasonable prices. They have a full bar and the wait staff is attentive without being pushy trying to flip tables, so common in the U.S. Take your time and enjoy your meal and your dining companions.

The decor of this place is absolutely beautiful. As others have stated a real "old Mexico" type of restaurant. We ate brunch here one day, before heading out to do some shopping. The food here was pretty good and the price descent. As for the service I would say it was average.

We would highly recommend anyone visiting Mexico City to dine here just to see the decor, and to try authentic Mexican fare.

When your legs get weary from all the sightseeing, make for this traditional old cafe which is only a 5 minute walk from the Zocalo. It has old world Mexican charm. The food is very good but the surroundings are better. You may even be treated to a group of musicians playing while you eat. Beware though, it can get very busy at popular times so either book or be prepared to wait for a table.
