We stayed here in early July 2006 with our 8-year-old son. There are a number of single and double rooms, but we stayed in a large room with two double beds and private W.C. and shower. The tiled floor, beamed ceilings and plaster walls gave the room a warm and authentic air. Our window was directly above the narrow street and therefore rather noisy with traffic at times. (There are interior rooms too.) The casa is an attractive cosy place. The view from the roof deck is wonderful; there is a little seating area for two, perched at the edge, above the street, that offers a relaxing place to sit early in the morning or in the evening after a day of sightseeing in this beautiful town. There is free (communal) internet and reasonably priced laundry service from a friendly older woman who may also do the maid service. The other proprietors were, unfortunately, not particularly friendly, and the older gentleman in particular was grumpy most of the time and just barely civil. When we arrived, we were given the choice of paying at checkout, each day, or up front, but then, after a couple of days, they demanded money from us. These were minor irritations, though. The Casa is located about 10 minutes' walk up a fairly steep roadway from the Jardin - just far enough away to be quiet (and in a real neighbourhood) and yet close enough to everything. At 150 pesos per person (more if you want a room with jacuzzi), this was great value.
