All of the staff really made us feel at home. We were well taken care of, especially by Omar. Nicely furnished and designed. Great location near the action, but far enough away to avoid most noise and experience the quainter vibes of Guanajuato, Included breakfast was very good (omelets, huevos rancheros, hotcakes, a couple of others), We were kindly upgraded to the Capela Room for three nights of five. The room is very nice and comfortable, but the terrace was awesome. Can see steeples, hear music in the background and relax. We stayed for the first two nights in the Chavez Morado room. It's a window facing the inside of the building and the stairway. While it is a small hotel, other guests past your room window going up and down the stairway.

Room tip: Room with terrace. Capela is best

It was a long climb up 3 steep flights to access our room, but it was worth it. The room was a great mix of historic charm and modern amenities. Staff was warm and helpful. The bathroom, however was not great. There was a perpetual smell of raw sewage, fixtures were in need of replacement, no water pressure, and always damp. For the price, I expected a much better bathroom. Parking is $200 pesos per day, and hotel is nearly impossible to find. No signage on exterior.

We just stayed two nights during cervantino at this quite hotel in the center of Guanajuato just around the corner of Teatro Juárez and really enjoyed. The hotel has great bathrooms, good service and a nice restaurant. Beds were comfy although a bit too soft for me. TVs in the room have a sky box which made my husband happy. Although its located in one of the few roads in the city, the rooms are very quite. Parking is around the corner.

My cousin and I had booked the wrong hotel by accident in the rural district which was pretty far from El Centro and everything we wanted to be near. We stopped in several hotels but had no luck BUT by God’s Grace we stepped into the Hotel Alonso and met the kindest, most friendly 2 men I’ve ever met in my hundreds of trips outside the US!! Omar was an amazingly charasmatic guy that had lived in Charlotte most of his life and had perfect English. He volunteered to call our other hotel and see what we would have to pay to change our 4 day reservation and amazingly, they said that we could change with no cost!! We quickly moved to Hotel Alonso which is a BEAUTIFUL ex home of a wealthy family that had turned the 8 bedrooms into gorgeous suites! There is a full breakfast included and they have a beautiful restaurant and piano bar inside the hotel so we could have stayed there without ever leaving ! There is not a more caring , efficient staff ANYWHERE! The manager Sergio Guerro was so funny and kind and felt so bad for us that he upgraded us to the Master Suite!
What a wonderful experience!! The food was wonderful, the rooms were beautiful and the people made EVERYTHING AMAZING!! Thank you Omar and Sergio! We are coming back and bringing a lot more people!!
Book this hotel ASAP ! Only 8 rooms!! It’s magical!!!

Another wonderful time at A10. We were greeted by the staff at A10 with open arms; lots of hugs and laughter. Such a perfect way to begin a GTO vacation.
They spirit and attitude of the staff has not faded. Everyone was kind, helpful and reassuring during our stay.
We stayed in the Olga Costa room; a larger room, with a boucany. There were celebrations every day, so we could hear plenty of street noice from our room. Would not change a thing, it is a fabulous room.
They A10 for being the best! We appreciate everything you did to make our stay great.
