I don't know how this hotel is because I never got inside. On my arrival I noticed they do not have hotel parking. Some person on the street advised me to honk the horn and somebody will shows in the entrance to help us. I honk the horn but almost 20 car were in the same one line street pushing me to move. In the 3 minutes I remained constantly honking nobody showed up to assist me. Then I drove out of the zone and called them asking for help, the lady on the phone told me that they heard the horn, but didn't respond because sometimes is not for them. She advised me to leave the car in some parking lot near the hotel and then somebody would help us to got there. Whoever given the time of day and the day it was impossible to maneuver around the city. Most if not all public parking lots were full. By this point the only thing I wanted was to cancel and move to another hotel in another city. She went on and offered me a parking where I could leave my car, but would be unable to move it for the three days I would be in the city. This is absurd because I rented the car to use it not to have it park for 3 1/2 days. Finally I got nothing from hotel and lost one night payment. Whoever I made my reservation with the free cancelation policy. Finally I resorted to call Hotel.com for help, which they did and were a great. They were able to give me a 2 nights credit. Leaving me with only one night loss.

Have been to Guanajuato several times. This is the first time we stay here. The pictures on Booking.com are nice but reality leaves something to be desired. We arrived and advised we had reservation, receptionist had no idea if we did or didn’t. She had to verify the reservation by sending a message to someone else via WhatsApp. Then tried paying with a credit card because it’s a better exchange rate and she advised payment would need to be cash.

The room was okay but was falling apart. Room had a unit which only blew air, I moved it and floor tiles were broken. Air made room humid which made for a miserable night. Very disappointing stay.

The hotel is very well located, everything close by foot, I think it can improve things cause is not really cheap, breakfast not recommended, rooms with jacuzzi but not working, no hair dryer, excellent service from the hosts. The places is cross street from Diego Rivera, Alondiga one block, teatro Juarez three blocks far away, no parking place but they help you to find one if you book in advance.

The Hotel & Suites Boutique Los Angeles is well located but not in the tourist part of town (a little seedy). Within a few minutes on foot you can reach restaurants and shops. Several museums are close by. In fact, the Museum de Diego Rivera is just across the street. A fine collection of the artist work covering the course of his life which is shown in the house where he was born and lived the first 6 years of his life (and one of the few museums with notes in English!). From the rooftop of the hotel, which is situated on two levels, is a panoramic view of Guanajuato where you can watch the sun set. The sunlight plays on the church steeples, and hills, and all the colorful houses on the hillsides of Guanajuato. The rooftop view is reminiscent of similar type places in Bologna, Italy. And we thought, how unfortunate that one of the greatest assets the place has is completely squandered for drying laundry and housing old rusted water tanks. This makes it all the more a pity that we would never recommend or return to The Hotel & Suites Boutique Los Angeles.

We arrived very late on a Thursday night 03Mar2016 and stayed 3 nights.

The people running the hotel are very gentle and tried to correct the things that needed to be corrected. For example; a broken toilet seat. The toilet seat itself was a shock when we saw it. It was some kind of toilet seat with a plastic covering. The seat itself was broken and had punctured the plastic covering (you would feel a pointed jab if you sat on it). When we let them know the next morning we were given a normal looking, feeling, toilet seat the same day. The room was very sparse on linens (i.e., one towel per customer, meaning no wash cloth, face towels, or shower mat. No tissues in the room, let alone a complementary bottle of water for travelers who arrive without a bottle of water and thirsty. We were brought better towels (still only one each), and a shower mat and were happy to get these as they were an improvement. The bed is difficult to describe other than to say it is possibly the hardest bed it could be and still be called a bed. They could not fix this, and it was explained in Spanish (no one speaks any English but we were able to get by between italian and google translate), that all the beds in the hotel are the same. And when we pulled the covers back the first night there was a long black hair in the bed. We were given two extra pillows (only 2 provided in room) which were an improvement to the situation.

We tried to find another room in a real boutique hotel but there were none available. There are a number of other real boutique hotels in Guanajuato, and also B&Bs as we would come to learn only too late.

We left thinking what a gold mine this place could be if it were properly managed and fixed up. We give it 2 stars. One for the location and one for then nice people.

The place was well located but the rooms where horrible at sight. It could be acceptable if the staff weren't so arrogant. I hated that "hotel", besides the free breakfast their offer doesn't applies if you have accepted an especial price that they gave you, a breakfast that only consists in a cup of coffee and a toasted bread.
