“Get your camera ready.”
Reviewed June 7, 2014

You can get to this sight by car or bus or by incline. And once you get there you are in for a treat. The view of the city from this monument is spectacular. The story of Pipila (the skinny chicken) is part of the story of Mexico's efforts toward independence. The site buses with vendors and visitors.

“Beautful!!!!!!!!!”
Reviewed May 26, 2014

i took both the Fanicular and a drive up there, as well as walk half way up.
all led to a picturesque view of the city. i did go up the narrow strairs, into the plexiglass area. Very narrow, and not safe for many to walk inside the monument. it costs 13 pesos. i did this on a monday, but for a weekend or when its busy, be carfeul. the monument itself, is a cornerstone of the city !

“Humongous.”
Reviewed May 14, 2014

The statue is humongous, overlooking the town. A must if you are in the area, the view is amazing. Take the tram up the hill for less than a dollar.
