Owner description: This early 20th-century building is part Moorish, part Roman and part Greek and is one of the city's more noticeable landmarks.

This fabulous theater is a wonderful example of colonial architecture and is worth the time to see it. The plush seats, the staircase, the chandeliers -- everything is well preserved and is exquisite -- you can imagine the glitterati of the age arriving by coach and alighting to make an entrance to this impressive building

There are alwas free shows going on outside of the theater. It's always entertaining to see the mimes or the dancers. There are also plays inside the theater, which is very nice.

A superb building, very nice to see at night with all that illumination and the crowd walking by the street.
I have tried to visit it on Saturday afternoon and the staff, not polite, said that is closed (opening time includes Saturdays!!). No explanations.
But a very good option to see that kind of architecture of the 1910.

Beautiful colonial era theater with a fabulous interior. The ceiling was magnificent as we're the chandlers. The exterior is an architechial masterpiece.

Grand as it is from the outside, the inside is even more impressive, so take the tour (check for hours) if you don't go to an event there. You will see the recently restored elaborate Moorish-style interior as it must have looked to theatre-goers in 1903.
