Stayed here for 7 nights in total. At a glance were impressed with the amazing sense of colors of interias and exterias. Our room was consist of combination of vivid pink, purple, yellow, blue, like all sorts of colors but very macthing each other.

It might depend on the room, but you get coffee maker, a package of good coffee, dryer, iron facilities.Everyday they offered us room cleaning, new towels, sheets. The sower was piping hot, the pressure could be higher though.

The location is also great, only 3 min walk from Teatro Juarez, which is the very heart of Centro.

They have promotion price on booking.com, will be better idea to book online, rather than just turn up.

Room Tip: There is a bar next door, so it could be noisy in the night for a sensitive sleeper. Ask a room whic...

Good central location, good wifi, comfortable and not like an international chain. In fact that was a relief for me after multiple days between intl chain hotels to be here. If you require room service, a desk in the room, mini-bar, a phone in the room, and those things common in the chains this place is not for you. But if you want a more local flavor of Mexican culture, in a clean and safe place, I recommend Casa Mexicana.

I stayed here for four wekes, during my spanish course at Escuela Mexicana. I had a great time in Casa Mexicana. All the staff was really nice and always helpfull. The building has a beautiful colourfull vibe and a homey feeling. You can sit on the roofterrace untill late and enjoy the sun or the stars. The breakfast is good and they serve dinner too! The only bad thing was probably the bed.. I had a horrible old matras.

Staff is friendly, place is quiet nice and very clean. There's WIFI that works and a lot of place to seat and relax or study. I spent there a whole month.
Before going there i had read reviews on tripadvisor so i was aware of the 'bar fly issue'. I was prepare and i had earplugs with me. I have to admit that the noise is terrible (there are days that music is quiet cool... but if you want to sleep it's not cool anymore), sometimes doors were shaking when the music was a bit louder. Not all rooms are that noisy, but in some rooms and for some people the issue can be important. If you are not a deep sleeper don't move to Casa mexicana without earplugs.

We have been there twice, as a couple and with family. The place is very clean. The restaurant serves up good food. They have a firewood baked pizza that is very good too. My favorite was the arracherra pizza. The price is reasonable and it includes breakfast every morning from 8:30am-11:am. They close at 12:pm except Sundays they close at 4:pm. Staff is very friendly, helpful and informaive. You can also leave you luggage with them to hold for you... We were there Sept 15th - 19th 2012, and again in October 2012.

Room Tip: You can book with a master bath in the room or for a lesser rate you can book with a shared bathroom...

Very nice staff...
A few not so nice: unreliable wi-fi, rarely works in the rooms, generally have to take your laptop to the lobby area if you want to access the internet, even that comes and goes.
Free breakfast: free only when the cook comes to work. There were a couple of occasions when the cook did not come to work, thus no breakfast, (kind of annoying: if you set your alarm to get breakfast, and then find out there is no breakfast.
Dark rooms: even with both lights turned on, still too dark, don't plan on doing any amount of reading in your room.
Noise: The music from Bar Fly is loud, plan on bringing something to drown out the sound.
A few inconveniences; yet I was not looking for a 5 star hotel, it met my needs and I would stay here again.
