“Great for people watching”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

Grab a latte from the Starbucks in Jardin Union, move into the shade of the park and take a seat and watch. On Sunday's an orchestra often appears around noon to play in the bandstand. Gets your shoes shined, watch the people and just soak up GTO. If you have not been into any of the old world theaters, it is worth the price of admission just to go inside a view Teatro Juarez. which is in the plaza. Better yet, take in a performance if one is on.

“The Heart of Guanajuato”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

The hub of Guanajuato! Fabulous views, special statues, sidewalk entertainers, friendly vendors, tour operators and a showpiece of Mexican culture. Morning, afternoon & evening all bring a different feeling & character. We secured a tour through Agustin here; you'll find him near the information kiosk; a real character & an older gentleman with thick, manicured grey hair & a good command of English. What an experience for the price! Highly recommended!! We bought a piece of art and several cards from Loreta, a sidewalk vendor, here as well. Overpriced restaurants & shops prices are reflective of the location i.e. 1/2 lb Starbucks Coffee twice as much as in Canada; now something like that is soooo unusual for Mexicol!!!

“Soak up the charm of Guanajuato”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

One of the mostly charming city squares in Mexico. The benches are free if you love people watching but the cafes the ring the Jardin offer reasonably priced drinks and food. The music and merriment continue into the wee hours.

“Surprising and delightful”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

Jardin de la Union is like a diamond, small but having a rare beauty. This small, wedge shaped park is well cared for and features beautifully manicured trees, fountains, flower gardens, park benches, and pleasant side walks. In the restaurants and outdoor tables that surround the park you will find people relaxing and enjoying the delightful ambience of the setting.

Make Jardin de la Union one of the first places you visit in Guanajuato. You will not be disappointed.
