We stayed here for ten nights and by the time we left felt like we were part of Ana and Lalo's family. They are gracious hosts who help you in any way they can, especially to feel more comfortable with the Spanish language. The breakfast are varied and delicious, and twice when they made extra food were even given lunch! We'll be back.

This lovely home is a wonderful place in the historic area furnished with beautiful art and charmingly hosted by Ana and Lalo. I spent four days with them and felt as comfortable as if I were family. Wait until you enjoy the breakfast-with or without a little Spanish lesson. Guanajuato is amazing and so is this B and B. Thank you A and L.

Room tip: Each room had its own special charming features. All squeeky clean.

Anna and Lalo were excellent and friendly hosts in their lovely home. She cooked a lovely breakfast each morning and was incredibly helpful in helping us to decide on where to sight-see. The house is warm, friendly, and comfortable! Would recommend this to all! Thanks!

We stay in casa de la luna for one night and it was a great stay. The room was super clean and nice looking, and the beds really comfy. The host ana is really nice and gave us useful tips. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee good. The b&b is very centrally located in a small quiet alley near plaza mexiamora. I would highly recommend casa de la luna.

Casa Luna is a beautiful house in downtown Guanajuato. It has an orange and blue facade with bugainvilliers. Ana and Lalo are the owners. They first welcome you as if you were family but they know also how to keep their distances. It is up to you if you want to talk or not. They gave us really good tips to walk around the city. The house is very big. It has 4 guests rooms and two apartments you can rent out for a week or more. They run at around $500 pesos a night with breakfast included. Lalo makes granola and you may buy it (40pesos). You get coffee, yogurt, granola, fruits and sometimes a home made tamale!
we loved our suite. It was huge with a king size bed and a view over a lovely path.
The other rooms have a queen bed. The bathroom is tiny. If you are big, you will have problems to get out of the shower! Also, ask Ana how to get hot water! You have to let the faucet run a while until it warms up. Also, warm water runs out the cold water faucet! But it doesn't matter...It is such a great place anyway!
Nights are quiet and the streets are safe to get back to the house.
We loved it and we will be back. We even met guests who invited us to their restaurant in San Miguel de Allende (a one-hour trip from guanajuato!) We actually recommend casa Luna over the very expensive hotels in San Miguel!
Ana kept our luggage until we were ready to leave! She even offered me cookies for the trip!
Also, last tip, ask Ana how to get in and out the house. You'll get keys of course but I don't want to give to much information online, afterall it s a private home and it has its secrets!
