“Great location”
Reviewed May 9, 2014

I got a great rate on Hotwire for $64 a night, so I can't complain about the price, the location or even our room. We were there over Christmas, and our room was on the 2nd level and the beds were a little hard, but comfortable. The staff was great, spoke decent english, and I got to practice my spanish. Their restaurant sold a great chicken soup! My then husband wasn't feeling well and I asked if I could get the soup "para llevar" and the staff hand carried the tray to our room. What service!

From the first moment, we were comfortable at Hotel Morales. The staff were all courteous, helpful, friendly. The piano bar and musicians playing live in the lobby delighted us - contributing to a great ambiance by the lobby fountain and restaurant. A very comfortable place to return to after a long day. The pool was heavenly; rooms clean and spacious enough; the halls and public spaces, aesthetically pleasing with sitting areas to discover; the restaurant menu was great - best sopa Azteca I've had! The location in the central historic district is close by shopping, museums, and Cathedrals. Very easy to get a taxi, as well as the hotel shuttle service. We would return without a doubt for any future visit to Guadalajara.

Stayed here with my family and we had a very nice stay. Staff were very friendly and they room was excellent. Great central location for the historical favourite of bull fighters.

Snacks in the hotel bar were very good and very cheap.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed there three nights in March, 2014. We enjoyed it. The staff was courteous and efficient. The concierge helped us with bus tickets to Barra La Navidad and tips on places to eat and drink, as well as some sightseeing options. The room was spacious and comfortable. We only needed the air conditioner a little bit, but it worked fine when we had it on. The breakfast buffet was really good. We really appreciated the location, so close to the main city square.

Great location, beautiful ambiance with rich colors and furnishings. The rooms are very lovely and comfortable. Do not miss two things: 1) breakfast in the downstairs restaurant, excellent fruit, yogurt, granola and coffee, and 2) the rooftop swimming pool was divine.

Room Tip: we were on level 3, my room had a window, but not all do as many face the interior courtyards. The w...

Hotel Morales is a classic and efficient hotel. It has a elegant lobby, an excellent pool and exercise room. The staff is very helpful, pleasant and can speak English well. We really worked the front desk with our questions and needs and they were just great! Especially the AM young crew who gave us an enthusiastic thumbs up when we wanted to go to Luche Libre and made sure we were always headed in the right direction when we left for the day. It’s in a great spot: close to many of the attractions in the center of town.
The hotel provides a great door-to-door shuttle service to and from the airport for 250 pesos. They have lots of different rooms so if you don’t like what you see ask to see another room. We moved here from another hotel and we had everything we needed. Also, keep in mind that many hotels in Mexico only gives you a coffee envelope on the first day for free: then they start charging….odd but true.
Tip: there is a great little taco/ breakfast shop 1½ blocks (toward the square)from the hotel carved into a parking garage. Do eat there! The food is incredible and the coffee is good too!

Room Tip: If noise bothers you ask for something off the street. The rooms vary...some small and some dark.
