I thought this was a great way to learn more about the city. I took 3 of the 4 routes and loved every minute of it.

I thought the audio guide in English was fine except that they should let the entire narrative play out. It would get cut off and for no reason. We wouldn't even reach the next point of interest for minutes.

With four loops - Guadalajara, Tonala, Zapopan and Tlaquepaque, it is a great way for the visitor to get an overview of the Metropolitan area. Adults are $125MXN and seniors/youth are $70MXN and you receive a color plastic wristband which allows on/off at any stop. We picked up our initial bus in Tlaquepaque which takes you to the Rotunda to pay and then choose which loop or loops you wish to take. We chose to do this on a Sunday where there were fewer trips and ended up only doing the Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque loops.

Our only criticism was of the audio system in six languages that was difficult to hear.

Take all four tours! start early, do Tlaquepaque, Tonola, take a break, then Zapopan and end with a night tour of Guadalajara. We followed that schedule and comfortably got all four in, and it was great to see Guadalajara with the night lights. Student IDs will get you a nice discount.

We found this tour company while walking near the rotunda on the side of the main cathedral and wow!!!, we were glad we did!! These double decker open top buses give you a wonderful tour of the great Mexican city of Guadalajara !!! They take you to places you would only get lost trying to find by yourself. On our first tour we were taken to Tlaquepaque- a very artsy marketplace chock full of paintings, Mexican silver, tequila in exotic bottles, textiles, zarapes, leather goods, not to mention some good Mexican restaurants. One neat little item I saw were those curved roof tiles with art work pasted on them for only about three US dollars. I bought one of "El Sagrado Corazon de Jesus", and my friend got one with a painting by Frida Kalo pasted on it. Cool !!! The tour also goes to Tonala, and Zapopan which both have their particular charm. I rode on the top and listened to the guide describe the history and culture of the city. The tour is only in Spanish which I speak fluently, but don't let that disturb you. Before leaving, buy-( or check out from your local library) a good guide book on the city and you will be able to follow the tour quite easily with your own English Language guide. Anyway, it will be a good way to brush up on your Spanish too. They stop in different parts of the city to drop you off for shopping. They usually return every 30 to 45 minutes so keep the plastic bracelet on for your return. I think we each paid about 25 dollars to see so much more of the city than we could have by taking taxis and getting lost. OH, one more thing. Don't stand up on the open top deck you'll get knocked over by tree branches or wires. We had wonderful time and the weather on the upper deck and the view of the city were breathtaking. We would do it again, Viva Guadalajara and Tapatio tours !!!

The double decker red buses are the best way to get an overview of Guadalajara, Tonala, Tlaquepaque and Zapopan. You can buy the plastic bracelet at the both set up at the Rotunda de los Jaliscienses Ilustres, the bracelet allows you to take all four tour routes in the same day . . . this can be a feat especially if you get off at any of the number of stops on each route. There is a constant narrative, in six languages, you do need to ask for the headset when you board. Relax, enjoy, learn about the city and some of the places you could never hope to walk to, or see in one day on your own. The cost during the week is a couple dollars less than the weekend cost. OR, go on the 10 PM Saturday evening tour that includes dinner in a good restaurant.
