Great value in the center of all the attractions. Second time staying and was as enjoyable as the first. Take some earplugs with you and you will not be bothered by the sounds of a nearby bar. I slept very well. Host John will help you in any way possible and make your stay enjoyable. Can't go wrong here. Rick D.

It was a pleasure hosting Rick and Mark again, and I am pleased that many guests return. This trip they rented Room 5 that is with Room 6 in a building separate from the main house, and you will hear music from the clubs. The rest of the rooms are in the main house, more protected from outside sounds, and where you will hear the fountain.

I had a wonderful three night stay at what is one of the most delightful boutique Hotels/Inns I've ever visited. The owner, John, has thought of everything. The rooms are well appointed and super comfortable (especially the beds), the decor and ambiance is total tranquility and the service is super. I visited with John each morning at breakfast and he has his act together, really! He is very well traveled, professional and full of great information on the areas attractions and restaurants. Take his advice. The fountain in the courtyard lulled me into such a trance each day, I kept extending my stay. Loved it. Attention to detail is off the scale here. If you don't like staying here, you're not going to like any place.

Casa Alebrijes Hotel a hidden treasure in the heart of historic Guadalajara. The location is a short comfortable walk to everything of interest for day time activity, evening and very early morning activity as well. The rooms are very clean, spacious and well-appointed with very comfortable beds. John the host-manager-owner provided an incredible amount of insight as to where to go and what to do, he was absolutely correct on every point. The beginning of each day no matter how late I was greeted with a bountiful European style breakfast. Everything was perfect. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Great B&B, beautifull rooms, perfect location, affortable y most of all great management and staff. The place looks unassuming from the outside, it doesn't even look like a hotel, but once you step in, it is a different world. It feels like house from the Colonial Era, well kept, and the rooms are spacious and well decored. John has an impressive collection of Alejibres which he has on display and you can purchase if desired (I bought 3 pieces). Even the cheaper rooms are confortable and well kept. Breaksfast, free internet are included in the price. I was very impressed and "contento" with the place..
I highly recommend La casa de Alejibres!!! and John's suggestions for places to go and visit were spot on. Gracias John.

Room Tip: Rooms inside the house will be serenated with its waterfall sound all day long....Smaller rooms do g...

Got this hotel on short notice, very friendly staff and owner, who lives on the property. Was very clean, quiet and nicely appointed room. In the middle of the historic area, which made it easy to walk around. Everything you could possible expect from a boutique hotel. I will be back in the fall and plan on staying there again.

This place is beautiful, clean and much attention to detail has been placed not just for comfort but for security and aesthetics. Most comfortable bed I slept in while in Mexico.
Great clubs and restaurants are within close walking distance. I loved this B&B!!

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms with the art on the ceilings and/or the stained glass windows. They are stunning.
