Had the a very bad expierence in Lafayette hotel.

Arrived to a súper dirty lobby.

Once they gave me my key to the room I opened the room to find people sleeping in the bedroom! Terrible! They gave me the wrong bedroom and key which makes it super insecure. Lobby manager did not seem to care.

Shower was dirty.

The bedroom has connecting doors with the bedroom on the side and could here EVERYTHING through it.

It is a good hotel to stay in if you need to get your visa renewal. It's a good place in Chapultepec Avenue and close to great restaurants and bars.

It's on a great location to go for a walk and do some sightseeing.

These people tried to charge us twice for dinning services we never had. They even locked us out of our room once until it was paid. We asked to see a receipt and only then when the signature on the reciept didn't match ours did they let us back in the room. They did the same thing again on check out day. These people are ridiculously us and are just trying to scam guest out of more money. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

I stayed at this hotel for six days in February. Its a very tidy hotel, all spic and span. The reception staff is helpful but for English speaking tourists communicating with them is difficult because most dont speak English. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The coffee percolator in the room is delightful. The breakfast they serve is traditional [quesedillas, beans, scrambled eggs and bacon etc] and the same things are repeated on alternate days which gets quite boring, but the overall quality of food is good. Perhaps the biggest advantage of staying at this hotel is that its a stone's throw from the La Paz avenue which is perhaps the largest street in town and a happening place. The central island on the avenue is huge with benches, fountains and statues and it is perfect for strolling in the evenings. Night market is organised once a week on this avenue. I caught a lovely music gig one night on the avenue where several pop bands played for hours to a crowd that was thousands strong . Both sides of the avenue are lined with convenience stores, restaurants and bars. Therefore, because it is a a good hotel with good surrounds, Laffayette Guadalajara Hotel is a great place to stay in while in Guadalajara.

If you're visiting Guadalajara and you are doing bussiness at the Expo Guadalajara, this hotel is great because is cheap, clean and is just a half block from the Chapulepec avenue where good pubs and bars are.

Room Tip: Higher floor room are better
