I actually was directed there to find an exhibit on tequila, which I didn't find but the murals alone were worth the visit. It was actually quite calm on a Sunday afternoon with just a few visitors.

“The murals!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

This is a lovely (and cool) classically colonial building of stone with a courtyard in the middle. The main attraction for us was the dramatic and historical murals both in the stairway and in the meeting room for the congress. Worth a stop.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2013

Surrounded by tons of polica with guns ! Get used to it in Mexico ! They are not overly friendly but they have a job to do You ll often find peaceful protests here too Dont worry about them. Take the time to read a lot of the information posted inside its a beautiful old building !

“Nice murals by Orozco !!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

This place is free to just walk inside and take pictures. The paintings by muralist Orozco are well worth photographing. Some of the inner courtyards have orange trees like those I've seen in Seville, Spain. You can even walk into the congressional debating hall-complete with more murals!!!
