Down town Guadalajara, one street from the cathedral away, you will enjoy a proper mex breakfast - and of course with the gorgeous tortas ahogadas (bread rolls served with pork beef and topped with the traditional red chilly sauce. Additionally La Gorda serves eggs in all variations, fresh fruit (delicious), molletes, sopes, etc. Chilaquiles as a side dish are not too good (their are definitively better at La Chata. However the fried beans are much better at this place. Service is friendly, quick and professional. Good coffee and chocomilk. Even if you see a queue, don't abort the attempt to enter, it is worth to wait a bit. Price-wise it is a bit cheaper compared to the alternative and well-know restaurant La Chata, 50 meters on the same street away from La Gorda.
If you are down town, don't miss it.
