I stopped by La Gorda unexpectedly after walking around all morning and found a delicious meal at a good price. There was a short line but Cesar the host kept the tables turning muy rapido. I noted other diners enjoying savory tacos, generous bowls of pozole and platillos of enchiladas. After asking my polite and efficient waiter about vegetarian dishes, Cesar approached and suggested the sopes plate with rajas (peppers), frijoles (beans) and dos quesos (2 cheeses). I ordered this tasty dish plus a tall, cold spicy Michelada and found it just right for lunch along with the warm gratis chips and flavorful salsa. ¡Gracias La Gorda, me gusta!
