Hotel Casa Campos Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #35 of 71 Guadalajara B&B and Inns
Reviewed December 1, 2007

Casa Campos is extremely well located in Tlaquepaque. If you are visiting Guadalajara do realize this is not in the city center, Tlaquepaque was a different city swallowed up by the growth of Guadalajara. This hotel is perfectly located right near the main pedestrian only walking area the the mariachi plaza of Tlaquepaque. Truly excellent location.

The hotel itself is very nice and small. We had two rooms, one suite and one regular room. Both were more than adequate and comfortable, especially the suite. Beds were comfortable and soft with nice sheets and pillows.

The morning breakfast served as part of the room rate is a continental breakfast, although other items are available. The staff are nice and helpful. Of course as others have mentioned, enjoy the monkeys and birds in the courtyard!

Highly recommended as a B&B/Small Hotel.

Rooms a bit small but the staff is outstanding, the location is perfect, and the courtyard has adorable tiny monkeys and exotic birds - great place to stay - went back a week later on return trip just to stay here again.

If you are heading to Guadalajara or to do some shopping in Tlaquepaque don't miss the Hotel Casa Campos. It is an awesome combination of fun, elegance and tradition. It is very conveniently located. We loved our room. The bed was so comfortable (a change from the usual Mexican beds), with a big fluffy comforter. The beautiful courtyard is filled with trees and plants that are home to 2 families of Marmoset monkeys. We so enjoyed getting to know them and the exotic birds that share the courtyard. The staff were friendly and helpful. For the price you get comfort, a great breakfast and an awesome location. We look foward to our next visit and to recommending this hotel to friends.

most charming inn built around large courtyard 12 rooms some with air conditioning all with tv. Great bar and restaurant "sandwich and friends"open all day and at dinner they serve a wonderful beef arrachera' Sunday they serve breakfast only. Location perfecct to shop and visit the village of Tlaquepaque. The center of antiques, and all kinds of interior design. A very safe area away from the very overcrowded city of Guadalajara and a wonderful place to relax after a busy day buying and browsing through the most gorgeous collections of art for sale in Mexico. The owner/managers are Moni her brother Pepe and Rita who speaks 4 languages. Could not be nicer or more helpful. Have met the nicest other guests there and look forward to my next return.

I really wanted to like Casa Campos, but it does have some draw backs. First off it is in a great location, walking distance to everything in Telaquapaque, stylish bar/restaurant and very nice staff. The rooms however are very small, except the suites. We change to a larger suite, however the room was very poorly lit and I felt like we were back in the smaller room as most parts of the room were in shadows. The bathroom also smelled of mold. This can be expected in many humid climates, but it was excessive. While the room was clean, I think it could have had a bit more dusting and freshening. Also this property has many animals around - a cat, dog, birds and many small monkeys. While I am an animal lover this many bother many others. I would probably stay at Quinta Don Jose where my friend stayed if visiting again. Lower prices than Casa Campos and with a swimming pool.

This B&B/Hotel is located at Francisco de Miranda No.30-A,
Tlaquepaque, which is about 8miles from the Guadalajara city center. It's a very pleasant place, conveniently located near the pedestrian mall. We had a room with a double bed that was very nicely renovated. We also saw a room with 2 double beds that was also more than acceptable. We had to leave too early in the morning to have the complimentary breakfast - but it looked like it would have been very good!
The staff was very friendly and helpful...
