We stayed 3 days at Hotel Antigua Posada. It is one of Cuernavaca's best kept secrets. Very close to the Centro and the main attractions in Cuernavaca. But the best part is the service. It was like staying with our family. The service was warm and personal. We were treated like we were the only ones in the hotel. Everyone was friendly and accomodating. Wireless internet access was free and worked perfectly. The atmosphere was quaint and charming. Everything was very clean. I would heartily recommend this special place.

After our first hotel choice turned out to be a dud, our taxi driver recommended this hotel and he wasn't wrong. This small renovated hotel is 4 blocks from the zocalo. All the rooms surround a central patio and each of the 11 rooms has its own small patio. A continental breakfast (with good coffee), included in the cost, is served on your patio each morning. The staff is gracious and we felt very safe. If you pay in cash you get a 10% discount. We had a room with a single and double bed for about $65 a night. Lovely and peaceful--a central fountain and flowers everywhere.
