“Great place to eat!”

This is it for authentic Mexican! Great food. We go for breakfast everytime we are down. Everything is wonderful and SUPER priced! After you are done, stroll on down to the market and buy your lunch for later!

“tasty authentic mexican food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2013

Surprised there arent more reviews for Dona Licha...it has always been the place we look forward to returning to for breakfast when we come to Zihua. My husband thinks they have the best chilequiles in town (tortilla chips cooked in red or green salsa, topped with fried eggs or chicken or queso). I am addicted to molletes (soft white bread covered in refried beans and cheese). The salsas and side of beans served with every order iet you doctor up your meal as you wish. Most tables seem to be filled by locals, but theres always a few other tourist/expats too. Very reasonable prices! Easiest way to find it is to head inland on Paseo del Palmar from the Kyoto roundabout, take a left on Los Cocos, and it's just a block or so up on your left. Only open for breakfast and lunch (lunch seems to be roasted chicken plates, havent tried it though)

“"REAL" Mexican cooking, good service, low, low prices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 7, 2013

If you are seeking real, honest Mexican food at low prices, efficiently served and in hygienic surroundings, it's hard to beat Doña Licha's. The best deal is the Menú del Día, served in the afternoon. For about $40 pesos, you get a soup or rice, a hearty and savory main course, salsas, pickled vegetables and hot tasty tortillas.

It's rare that we haven't been totally satisfied with the food and service at Doña Licha's.

“In a alley of the market. Good as far as breakfast goes”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

We ate breakfast. We liked their blue corn tortillas best. Still, I think the food at the market is far superior. We tried their tacos de aporreadillo, and the market ones were much better. Having said that, the tortillas were very good.

“Awesome food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

This is the biggest restaurant I have seen in Zihua. It is always busy, and full of locals. It's super clean, and the food is awesome. We had breakfast there twice, and the prices are very good for the amount of food that you get. They bring a big bowl of beans along with two kinds of salsa and marinated carrots/onions. The tortillas are great, both yellow and blue corn.
