Everything everyone is saying is true. We've been here twice; last time for 10 days, and next time will be two weeks! It's beautiful, super friendly staff, reasonably priced, unpretentious but everything you need, soooo relaxing, so well located. The balconies (all ocean front), the rooms, the views, the beach, the walk to town, all the good restaurants... Just can't say enough. We've recommended it to friends and they have all thanked us profusely for letting them know about the place.

We stayed at Brisas del Mar for 4 nights in June for my sister's wedding. It couldn't have been more perfect! Check in/out was very easy. Our room was very spacious and clean. Bernadino was our most favorite server. We loved him!! He kept a drink in our hand at all times and had the best smile ever! We had room service most mornings for breakfast that was great. We did venture out and eat breakfast at Dona Licha one morning. It was fabulous! Going to Lety's is a must while you are in Zihua. They have the best coconut shrimp i have ever had. I hate that we went on our last night because we would have had to go again had we gone earlier in our trip. Lorena was my sister's wedding organizer at the hotel and she was wonderful. My sister had the most beautiful wedding that was perfectly organized! It couldn't have been better!
You must visit the spa when Nayeli is working for a relaxing massage. She was wonderful.
The location of the hotel was perfect for walking to town. If we ever visit Zihua again I wouldn't stay anywhere different.

We just loved our stay in Las brisas del Mar! Originally we were booked in for 4 nights, but extended our stay to 6 and were very sorry when we had to leave! It is our favourite hotel ever, it even beats any 5 star hotel I've stayed in hands down. The hotel is on a slope towards playa Madera with the reception on top and the Bistro del Mar at the bottom. It is a few steps to walk, but that might just help to work off some off the lovely tamarind daiquiri's from the bar.
Our room was massive, with tiled floors and a panoramic view. The large veranda was decked out with sunloungers, chairs and a hammock. A perfect plaze to spend the afternoon before heading in to Zihua for some snacks!
The hotel has a very convenient internet room, great for those of us that doesn't bring our laptop on vacation, and some amusements like pingpong/book selection.
I did not get to try the spa, but the treatments looked great and were very reasonably priced compared to others I've come across in the area. The cleaners (and the rest of the staff)did an amazing job, and we loved the "towel-animals"!
For us, this place was perfect, and I would absolutely recommend it. Location is also great with an easy walk into the towncentre on the romantic seafront. (All those kissing couples should put anyone in the romantic mood!)
Las Brisas del Mar, we'll be coming back!

Oh, what a great place. Situated right on the beach (playa madera) this place has a great location, just steps from downtown, has a high quality restaurant, free Internet access, fairly decent massage, very knowledgable front desk (she helped us book a reservation at "espuma" on valentine's day, wow) and Carola, a friendly parrot that greets you with a loud "hello" when she sees you. The only downside is the mosquito net around the bed, as it did not hold strong enough to protect us and deliver us from the flying menace.

When you first pull up to the hotel, don't be discouraged! It's not super impressive until you walk through the door and see the view of the ocean - incredible. We spent 4 nights there and loved every minute of it - right on the beach, great view of the ocean from the room, great food (especially the shrimp omelet), great service. We stayed in one of the family rooms with our two teenage boys and they found the couches to be very comfortable - there was plenty of space for all 4 of us. It's only a 10 minute walk into the charming downtown which has lots of great, inexpensive restaurants and fun shopping. We couldn't have asked for more from the experience and will recommend it to all of our friends.

My wife and I went to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We had a great time, beautiful view, close to town and shopping. Colorful room, good and quiet A/C. Private patio w/ Jacuzzi. Diana and the front desk were terrific. Restaurant is top rate but a little pricey for the area. But the service, quality, and presentation was excellent. In downtown Zihua, Lety's across the bridge at the Marina has excellent seafood at very reasonable prices (try the lobster salad and the coconut shrimp). La Sirena Gorda (The fat mermaid) also near the marina was very good and reasonable. Both take credit cards. Taxis are plentiful and reasonable. Our only drawback was the steps from top to bottom at the hotel. We are in our 70's and in good health, but the climb from beach and restaurant to our room on the top level was challenging. If you are older or walking is difficult, get a room at mid level. This hotel clearly met our expectations and we would not hesitate to go back.

I went with my boyfriend and we had a great experience. The hotel is not luxurious but it is a very good value for the price and we had everything we needed.
Highlights:
- Amazing views from the room and restaurant
- Private balcony with hammock, table and chairs, jacuzzi
- Ping pong and billiards!
- Very nice staff
- Clean
- Great location
- Pool with water slide
- Market across the street where you can buy water, beer and snacks

Drawbacks:
- Things were more expensive when we got there than I thought they'd be (food at the hotels, restaurants near the marina were consistently over $20 US per person without booze).
- The private jacuzzi we paid a little extra for was hard to put to use! after running the water for an hour, it was only about 1/10 full so we gave up.

Overall, a great trip and a great hotel! Would definitely recommend.
