This was the third time we stayed at Brisas and it never lets us down in any way. Diana at the front desk always friendly and very helpful. Federico at the bar, great drinks, and the ladies who sculpt the towels in a different way every day, incredible, and always so nice. Rooms are clean and very quiet. It's a short walk to town and all the different restuarants. The beach out front is clean and when the surf is a bit too rough the pool is sparkling clean and the poolside service is friendly, convenient and always seems to be available at exactly the right time. Will we stay anyplace else when we go back this fall: HIGHLY UNLIKELY. We love Brisas.

We had our wedding on the beach in front of Brisas Del Mar. Our room was great (really 3 rooms all with separate bathrooms and a massive living room connecting them) with a view to die for.

We had 36 guests (10 kids) and about half flew from Australia/UK and about half from USA. The staff were exceptional. My sister had her bag miss her flight and could not get a response from anyone. Lorena got hold of the airlines and harrassed them and the bag was there in 12 hrs. The wedding setting was great; right on the beach with a great celebrant. Excellent food and great reception. All of the guests stayed between 4 & 7 days. Eveybody commented how relaxing Zihua was. Most everybody works long hrs and they all just chilled out. We had planned on Zihua because although we like the pace, we know some of our guests prefer the high-rise luxury of Ixtapa to the shabby-chic of Zihua. Not a single one of our guests made it to Ixtapa; that's how good it was.
Lorena is absolutely awesone. She helped us have the most stress-free wedding imaginable. Several of the couples commented it was the best wedding they had ever been to (except their own!). Could not recommend it any more highly. Go there, before everybody else figures it out.

Returned earlier this week from a week at Brisas Del Mar. Very much as anticipated...great location; fabulous views from everywhere; nice pool and beach area; friendly staff.

      One problem, and one nit...

We had reserved, had pre paid for and received confirmation for a King size room. Upon arrival, we were shown to accommodations with two double beds. We were told at first, that no King room was available, despite our confirmation. We were next told "others had reserved as well" (yeah so..). Next we were offered an upgrade, at additional cost and finally an upgrade (no additional cost) that we would have to vacate after a couple of days. Not right and stressful after a full day of travel. (We stayed put, unhappily).

We also found the food and beverage to be a bit pricey, but no big deal. We used these services on occassion. There are plenty of other options within very close walking distance (both restaurants and bodegas).

All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

I was in Mexico City this week for a few days of business and decided to swing over to get 2 days of R&R. Just got back home last nite. I took a chance on something different than Ixtapa this time and was absolutely blown away with this hotel. I am sure there are some other great boutique hotels in Zihua but for the money, friendliness, view, food, everything... this is the place for me. From the moment of walking into the lobby and seeing the view of the bay... unbelievable friendly staff at front desk, location, service, food, the pool, the beach setting, the restaurant at the beach... everything was perfect for me. Dianna at the front desk and all the lobby staff were incredibly nice, and helpful. I stayed in Room 101 ($150) (better view of pool, etc) which is half way down toward the beach and then moved to Room 104 which still had a great view but i think 101 is better. Shower water is warm but not hot, bed is comfortable and the air conditioner had to be dialed down... as it really really cool your room... all good. I love good coffee and there were 2 pouches of hand wrapped local coffee that was awesome. Free bottled water in room, I had a daily massage, (400 pesos) one at the beach in their cabana... very good. I intend to come back regularly now and want to try other rooms as Dianna recommended some Suites that are great. Nico the restaurant manager, Marta the bartender, and all the staff were just ready and so helpful. I love red wines and Nico hooked me up with a great Spanish wine... all good. Prices for food were very reasonable, Overall highly recommended and no complaints. Book early for holiday openings as this years Easter rush started today and its full up for 2 weeks. A+

If you like to get a feel of a town and a people this hotel was perfect. We loved all of the natural terra cotta with inlaid stone and the many fountains and waterfalls along the many stairs from lobby to sea! How great is this-you eat wonderful food and you walk it off!
We ventured up the beach and down the beach and ate at many wonderful places. The boardwalk from downtown to our hotel was very romantic - especially with all of the young couples in love watching the beautiful waters on the benches and seawalls along the way.
Our hotel had a wonderful warm pool that was the meeting place. We met so many nice people that had been coming here for years and made us want to come back.
Our restaurant had great food, service and what a view!
Our room was great - what a wonderful balcony! We spent so much time and took the greatest pictures of sunrise and sunsets!! The star of the show was our wonderful tall palm in the middle of our view.
