“Nice side trip”
Reviewed March 11, 2012

Right in town down by the water. This museum was a surprise. For a little museum it was very nice. Great history of the area and some wonderful local artists had their art work on display. Really enjoyed all the artifacts that were found in the area. Great displays and historical information too.

“a bit of Zihua history”
Reviewed March 2, 2012

Nice little museum - entrance price is $1.00US - was not open the 1st time we went to Zihua so on our 2nd visit when we saw it was opened, we gave it a try - you can sit and listen to a guide narrating a slide show or you can visit the rooms by yourself (they are small and very hot) and look at the pictures and artifacts.

“A good local effort”
Reviewed February 29, 2012

This small museum has a few artifacts and photos. It was with a 10 minute visit. It was free so how can you complain.
A much better place to visit is the new archaeological museum that is south of the airport. Excavated ball court, pyramids being found and a great new museum!

“Pompeii of Mexico”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

Excellent! Guides are very knowledgeable. This city was continuously inhabited for 1500 years and then was wiped out by a tsunami so everything is under the ground. The museum is great. No place to get water there and it was pretty hot so bring your own.
