“Surprise hole in the Wall supper”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

well, I have to agree with the other reviews! Walking down the street looking for supper, we spied a table out front of a little bar? The menu was displayed-uncooked of course-for all to see! I could not believe the steaks laid out! I love steak & it isn't easy to find a good steak in Mexico! Special tonight-heard that before! But...it wasn't expensive! And if I didn't like it, I didn't have to pay! An offer I couldn't refuse! People were eating & enjoying themselves, so in we went. Enjoyed cerveza while my steak & my wife's chicken were being prepared. Arrived hot & delicious! Another cerveza. staff were extremely nice & friendly, prices were very affordable-400 pesos for everything-AND we can't wait to go back because the mahi-mahi looked real tasty...so did the shrimp, and the steak and.......

“Great food and drinks”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

We had both dinner and breakfast here. The food was great both times. We also stopped here and they made us drinks to go in large foam cups for only $100 pecos.

“Alex, Luiz and Armondo were fantastic.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013

The waiters were great, the food was very good (for Mexico), and although the owner and his son (the bartender) lacked any warmth or friendliness, were very accomodating when we realized we didn't have the full amount of the bill in Peso's. We offered to leave them the full amt in US$, but they said, no come back and pay when you have the Peso`s. That was awesome.

“We often visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

This place is just down the street from our hotel and we often eat here. Besides having very good food and service the people that run it are very nice and so friendly. Many times we stop in just to visit. The food is great, the service very good - don't be fooled by the exterior. It is a small and simple restaurant but you need to check it out. Favorite entree - coconut chicken and they make a mean margarita as well.

“simple good dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

Went twice during our 2 week stay. Had calamari appetizer twice - very good. Had grilled/bbq tuna the first time as our entrée and rib eye steak the second time - both meals were excellent. With the tuna, was a side of pasta which was also very good. Portions were a good size and we split the appetizer and the main. With a drink each and the appie and the main cost was 450 pesos.
