“Magical place with a perfect combination of private pool and beach access”

Casa Luna is a one of a kind, wonderful place. Some of the other reviews called it "magical" and we'd have to agree. An authentic feeling palapa style house on a large property with beautiful gardens full of birds and plants, a wonderful private deep water pool (20 feet long I think), beautiful partially outdoor spaces with hammocks, a huge commercial kitchen, and air conditioned bedrooms. It is a very short, flat walk to the beach with access to restaurants and all of Playa La Ropa. Very safe and the service was incredible, with daily gardening and housekeeping, and the owner knows everything there is to know about Zihua. We would go from pool to beach to pool to beach constantly throughout the day without effort, which is a rare find in Zihua where you typically have to climb the cliffs to return to your room. You don't get the sunsets from up on the cliffs, but the immediate access to the beach and restaurants outweighed that for us. We could observe the sunsets from a short walk to a restaurant on the beach. We loved it so much that we just booked again!

“Oasis in paradise”
Reviewed February 6, 2011 for a stay in January 2011

We recently stayed at Casa Luna in the cottage adjacent to the main house. Situated in a lush tropical garden compound a short walk from beautiful La Ropa beach, Casa Luna offers a quiet peaceful refuge for a romantic getaway. All the basic ameneties are present and the service is discreet and efficient. Owner Patsy and her staff Amelia and Francisco are always nearby to help with anything you need and Patsy is a long time Zihuat import who also offers an excellent on-site cooking class for those who want to learn how to truly cook local. (highly recommended as an event to do).

Casa Luna is a short bus or taxi ride to the main village or if you feel adventurous a 45 minute walk along the beach. From La Ropa beach you can also venture to Los Gatos beach to the east, a 15 minute hike along a sea-side trail.
All in all, Casa Luna is an execellent location for those wishing to get away.
