Dining options: Lunch, Breakfast
Description: This restaurant is located on a small cove and can only be reached by water taxi from the pier. There are about 10 restaurants on this isolated cove. They have no actual address, no electricty, no telephone and all food/beverages are brought in by the water taxi's. Otilia's is mentioned many times under Things to Do on the Zihua Forum under "Las Gatas" and should be listed under Restaurants. This is a very popular place with great food and fantastic location. You can enjoy your meal with your feet in the sand and the very clear ocean water a few yards away. Snorkeling is also available from the white sand beach.

“Las Gatas Hospitality”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

The crew at Otilia's do a very nice job. We headed to Las Gatas Christmas day with the intent of snorkeling and lounging on the beach. It was a perfect venue to complete both tasks.

We enjoyed margaritas (homemade, not from a mix) and shrimp tacos. Both were fresh and quite enjoyable.

David provided friendly and helpful service. In addition to his help with cocktails and menu items, he was knowledgeable about Las Gatas snorkeling in detail. A really nice guy who I was happy to interact with.

If you're heading to Las Gatas, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. Just look for pink umbrellas and have a seat. :-)

“Otilia's is the Only Place to Be at Las Gatas!”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

My research before our trip listed Otilia's as the best place to eat at Las Gatas and they were right. Actually it is one of the best places to eat in Zihuatanejo; well worth the effort to get there. They are located on the far end of the beautiful white beach and David, our waiter, was very friendly. He welcomed us to the restaurant, brought us some great margaritas that were made from scratch - no mix here. We spent our time hanging out on the plastic chairs in the ocean right in front of Otilias where David brought us whatever we ordered and was willing to take some great photos of us out there. We had an amazing lunch the first day of bacon wrapped shrimp and coconut shrimp, cold cerveza and cool white wine. The second day that we came back; David welcomed us back like family and served us more great drinks. Plus we brought some friends along and they had a great day. For lunch I had a sea food dish of abalone, shrimp and mahi mahi served in a half of a pineapple and it was amazing. This place is a great place to hang out and enjoy great service, food and cold drinks. Enjoy!

“Franco was the best !”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

My wife and I (Bob and Colleen) went to this beach and restaurant on the advice and with our friends (Bob and Colleen). We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we went back a few days later. Franco provided top notch service. He just might be a mind reader, because he was always there whenever we even thought of having another Corona, margarita or a bite to eat. With that said, he was quite stealthy cuz he left us to enjoy the peace and quiet of this gorgeous beach. We would definitely go back. The restaurant is second last in a row of restaurants but well worth the walk. Food and drinks were super. Try the lobster tacos and coconut shrimp. Yum.

Thank you Franco for making this such an enjoyable memory.
