“A great find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

Our taxi took us to another popular restaurant in the Center of town. We didn't stay because they had football playing on the TVs. We were looking for something where the proprietor was more interested in food than attracting people with his TVs.

We wandered for a bit then started walking back to our hotel where we hoped we would find something and we took a chance on El Arrayan. It was worth it. I am not surprised it is ranked #'10 in restaurants in Zihua. What a lucky find for us.

Yes, we both had the fish tacos. As many people have posted here they were excellent. Three fish tacos in the plate and some guacamole. We were also given a pineapple sauce to go with it, we each had two beers and our total before tip was 240 pesos. This is great value considering how, excellent the food is.

It was nice and fun to watch the owner and his family working together to serve their clients in this four table restaurant. Everybody had their job including his daughter who worked the grill.

I highly recommend going here when you are in Zihua. You will not be sorry.

“Best Fish Tacos”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2014 via mobile

Run by a family that seems to love what they are doing. The owner pulls the grill outside and does his best to manage inquiries, tables and man the coals. The fish tacos were a steal. The owner was proud to show off a picture on his phone of the freshly caught Pacific Sierra he caught and filleted that morning for the tacos. We loved the thick filets on the taco. Service was excellent. Comfy atmosphere on the sidewalk across the street. I walked by the next day and got a big wave from inside. I would love to go back to try the breakfast.

Pretty amateur to give an awful review because you didn't get to try it. This is not Long John Silver's. It is a small place, they are limited by what they have fresh.

We watched a number of groups walk up and get turned away because the 5 tables were full. If you are fortunate to get a seat, expect quality meal for an impossible value. And expect to want to return.

Sitting across the street amongst plants and trees with a fan blowing cool air around you, eating the most wonderful food Maurice can serve you - it's a great experience. Super good breakfast and so friendly. Highly recommend this!

“Amazing food + service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2013

We showed up as they were closing down, but Mauricio and his wife still accommodated us. The food was phenomenal, with the fish tacos probably being the best we've ever had. The menu is limited but that means everything on it is absolute gold. Mauricio, our waiter, spoke to us with passion about their food and it showed he was really proud of his restaurant (as they should be, it is awesome!). Do not leave Zihuatanejo without eating here.
