We have had many wonderful meals at this restaurant. When my husband went fishing and caught fish, they cleaned them and cooked them for us and our friends for a great price. After the meal a guitar player came along and the chef and owner joined in, singing beautiful Mexican love songs. It was our most enjoyable meal in Zihuatanejo. The owners Mauricio and Veronica are truly a gem!!!!

Couple of years ago we were looking for a new place to have breakfast before we left for the airport to fly home. Because we always stay in Centro after our weeks at Pacifica, we had never walked down Calle Adelita. There were a couple of tables set up between the stairs for the bridge across the canal. The tables set like they were in a garden. We walked past and did not see ant place that had the appeal El Arrayan did. We went back there and asked could we set at one of the tables with the garden setting. The breakfast very good- we sat there as long as we could after eating drinking coffee and watching the street traffic. While sitting there a American family was looking for a place to eat and we told them how we enjoyed our breakfast, so they stayed an ate in the restaurant and thanked us when they left. We really hated it when the restaurant was closed while the street was being repaved. We ran into the owner on a Sat. and he told us when he would reopen. We went back the morning he reopened and got to sit in our favorite place- he had not had time to fix the area between the stairs. A couple of times we have eaten there and he had 2 of his children helping him- they were very polite and made sure we had our coffee cuts filled. So many little restaurants come and go- when we saw it closed we were afraid El Arrayan would be one of them. When we saw the owner he said as soon as the street was fixed he would be opened. It is good to see a place like this one build up a return customer base. What's nice is if someone needs internet service it is offered in a room next to the restaurant.

We dined at El Arrayan last evening. Upon a graceful seating, our waiter brought us some Tortilla soup which was a pleasant surprise. The young man who does the grilling does everything very well. My wife had grilled Mahi Mahi and I had the assorted Kabob, both were great! The surroundings are perfect and service couldn't be better. A great new choice in the neighborhood! Price was good also. We will dine here again.

My wife and I had two breakfasts and one dinner at El Arrayan, and we loved it. We would have gone back for another dinner, but when we went back the second time every table was full. We should have waited; the meal we got at the restaurant next door wasn't nearly as good as what we had the night before at El Arrayan. The cheese-stuffed bacon wrapped shrimp was especially delightful. Perhaps the best thing about the experience, though, was that the owners, Mauricio and Veronica, are just such nice people. They obviously take a lot of pride in their work and in their restaurant. It's a real family restaurant: very small, very friendly and very relaxed.

On the last night of their stay, my wife's parents wanted to take us out to dinner. My father-in-law suggested El Arrayan, and we were not disappointed! This small street-side restaurant has a great ambiance, and the food is absolutely first-rate and very reasonably priced. The cheese-stuffed, bacon-wrapped shrimp is incredible. My young daughters ordered the shrimp-beef-chicken brochettes and ate everything on their plates! The marlin special with a delicate pineapple sauce was equally delicious. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to our next meal there!
