We were looking for a place to eat on our first night in Zihuatenjo. Walked down the street by Ita's. Someone down the street at another restaurant saw us looking and recommended Ita's. It was excellent. Very fresh and wonderfully prepared and presented. We both had fish dishes and they were great.

I have to admit, I have walked by this restaurant probably 100 times and never eaten here. This trip we decided to try something new and had dinner here. Our waiter, John, was so nice and very attentive. My husband had shrimp skewers with a citrus salad, and I had pasta Carbonara. The presentation on both dishes was absolutely top notch. The vegetables on the shrimp plate were artfully layered, cooked perfectly, with wonderful seasoning. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. The pasta was so good, al dente with just the right amount of sauce. There was also grilled chicken on top of the pasta along with plenty of cheese. Fresh bread accompanied the meal. They had a nice red wine at 55 pesos a glass. Our dinners, wine, and a wonderful coconut flan totaled $390 pesos. This meal in the states would have been close to $100. The food was delicious, honestly one of the best dinners we have ever had in Zihua.

Super good breakfast. It was a morning that I just wanted a pancake and wow, got a great one here! A little higher priced than most placed on Adelita, but still cheap and great food!

Walked by Ita's a few times and finally succumbed to the earnest promises of a good and fresh food. It turns out, the man, Moses, was as good as his word. The Mahi-Mahi was great and chicken with blackberry/red wine reduction was very good as well. Breakfast a couple of days later was equally satisfying.

After meeting Ita and her daughter, also named Ita , we arranged for a cooking class for four of us. They tailored a class to cook what we were interested in preparing and included a trip to the market to purchase ingredients. The instruction was very hands on and we all had a wonderful time topped off with a great meal that we prepared. Great value at about $15 per person for a two hour experience. Highly recommend you ask about it. We plan to do it again with grandchildren next year.

The gentlemen out front was a bit aggressive; however, the food was excellent. After walking by this restaurant for a number of days and being badgered by the gentleman out front my husband decided we'd reward his persistence and give it a try for dinner. I was skeptical; however, to my surprise the meal was excellent! The fish was perfectly cooked, the sauces where excellent as was the pasta dish one of our dining companions got. Ita (the chef) came out to our table following dinner and she asked for feedback and thanked us for coming which was a nice touch.
