“Great seafood---on the beach”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

We walked the entire La Ropa beach before we found it...no name from the beach side, but the search was worth it. Fish tacos with Mahi-mahi (the Mexicans call it Dorado), by what ever name were great and the tiritis (raw fish, cured with lime, onions, and peppers) were the best! This is a local recipe that ranks right up there with other cerviche-like dishes I've had all over the world! Lots of individual attention and service---we even met the owner, who had great pride in her place.....takes cash only, but that's not unusual on the beach anywhere.

“fun place to visit”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

right on the beach, service at your beach chair, a little more american-ized, but very clean, fun, and beautiful view of the water! great for families or couples.

“This place is a joke!”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Wound up at Paty's because of a limited choice one evening last week. (a complete other story).

This must be the Mexican Denny's (another place I patronized once many many years ago)

A total gringo menu, a couple of psuedo Mexican dishes. I had a shrimp dish and the shells were left on and they were butterflied and over cooked. My wife had chicken fajitas that were close to being rubber bands.

There were only four tables occupied, 3 with two persons each and 1 with 6 people. There were two servers. After waiting 15 minutes I had to actually get up and tell the waiter that our cocktails had still not arrived at our table.

Personally I wouldn't ever go their again, but what really amazes me is how busy the place is during the day with the exact same menu. (Maybe they sell cheap beer) Well guess there is just no accounting for peoples tastes.

In a nut shell: Terrible service, terrible food.....just plain terrible, and yes Paty was there and she really is nasty! ( Not to us but to staff)

“Wedding Reception / Excellent Service & Food”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

In March 2013 we were married at Paty's on La Ropa Beach. Everything went perfectly from the excellent food, to the dj set up and dancing, to the special requests that we had of Paty and her staff.

We had been communicating with Paty for about 10 months before arriving in Zihuatanejo for our wedding week and had numerous questions and requests of the restaurant that would make our special day truly special. Living in Seattle and not being fluent in the Spanish language we had our reservations about how things would go... We can now safely say that our concerns were unnecessary! Paty speaks great English and was always very responsive to our emails and worked tirelessly to ensure that we had the perfect destination wedding!

She catered to our special food requests, wedding cake (tequila tower :)), our desired flower arrangements and our desire to have a beautiful beach wedding. The food was exceptional, the decor was beautiful and the service was second to none! The lighting on the palm trees and the beach dance floor was awesome and all of guests commented on how this was one of the best weddings they've ever been to.

Paty's staff, our photographers from BN Fotografia, and our djs from L.I.V.E. Entertainment made our wedding perfect!

A huge thank you to Paty and her staff.
