I would really recommend the grilled pork chops! Delicious. I would say for over all value, taste, service etc. , La Casa Vieja would be one of your best choices for a total dining experience for a seven day trip to the region. We have dined there 3 or 4 times in our trips to Zihuatanejo and have enjoyed it for consistency and flavors of Mexico. Don't forget their Sunday brunch!

This restaurant was my favorite in ZIH for many years but a couple years back felt as if the food and service was slipping and have not visited for maybe two years. Tried it again on my past trip in November and refreshing to see the food and service are back up to the old standards, maybe better. Had BBQ ribs and giant pork chop and both were excellent. Love the setting and ambiance. Who needs an ocean view at this restaurant. Recommend...

Every time we go to Zihuatanejo, we visit this restaurant. My wife has the ribs and I have the pork chop. Both are wonderful. Staff is friendly and ambiance very nice. Highly recommended.

We ate our very first meal ever in Zihuatanejo years ago, and it was dinner. We walked over to Casa Vieja on a recommendation. It was a very good dinner, but it was really expensive, over $70 US dollars, and we only had a salad, a chicken entree, an appetizer, and 2 margaritas. It was much more expensive than we had anticipated. So we never went back. Today we were walking by and they had a Sunday buffet brunch for $110 pesos a person. We decided to give it a try, and we were glad we did. They had a great assortment of food, and they made fresh eggs and omelettes to order, and handmade tortillas. They also made pancakes upon request. It was all excellent, and they had an assortment of fresh juices, fruit, yogurt, and granola. It was well worth the money, and we highly recommend it.
