We stayed in villa #9 for 6 terrific nights. Though we found the small staff to be gracious and more than willing to help with whatever we needed, I suppose that if you want constant pampering and sophisticated service, you might be a bit disappointed. But if you're even slightly independent and the idea of a small, well-maintained condo with an unbeatable view that almost allows you to feel like you live there is your idea of the perfect beach accommodation, you'll love this place.
Considering that we could stroll to the 5-star Hotel Villa Del Sol and La Casa Que Canta hotels, as well as a multitude of lower-key restaurants and bars on the nearby Playa La Ropa, the absence of an on-site restaurant or bar was a non-issue. In fact, we loved the fact that we could go grocery shopping in town and then enjoy coffee, breakfast, cocktails and even sandwiched on our beautiful terrace, which came equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, two-burner stove, supply of purefied water and even dishes and flatware. If you don't mind a lot of stairs, villas 8 and 9 appeared to be the most recently constructed and luxurious. They also have the best views.
We'll be back.

Villas San Sebastian could be classified as heaven on earth.
We could lie in our bed overlooking the Playa La Ropa listening to the waves crashing below with mariachi music drifting through the wind. We could actually see the water with our heads on the pillow of our bed. (Unit #6)
I awoke everyday to my morning coffee with gentle sea breeze overlooking the most incredible view..tropical birds flying by. My 19-year-old daughter swore she would be staying there for her honeymoon when she gets married. All Villas San Sebastian personnel were extremely helpful and courteous...Luis even personally hailed my departure cab to the airport and negotiated a deal for me in Spanish with the cab driver. Our room and veranda were beautiful with gorgeous Mexican tiles. The pool area was very nice and we had a great time meeting and talking to the other vacationers due personal size of this quaint complex (only 9 villas) The walk-in closset/dressing room was actually big enough to sleep a few people and could be considered an additional room. My feeling about this quaint, hillside accommodation is to do yourself a favor, and treat yourself to a little bit of heaven. Thanks Luis and Pedro for your great internet communications and hospitality. It really made planning my rendezvous with my daughter's spring break from the University of Guadalajara, an incredible experience. You were great hosts..I'm already trying to figure out when I can come back and do all of the things I didn't get to do this time. I've been to Puerta Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas, but where I will come back to is this complex in Zihuatanejo

We have been going to that area for the last 13 years. The last 4 years staying at the villas san sebastian. They are very well managed and would recomend them to any one. The owner speaks excellent english and seemes to have a connection for everything you might want to do. Clean private and safe and definitley beautiful.
