The IFC offers home tours on Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 AM during the winter season. There office is across from the handicraft market on the Rio Cuale in the old town. Their brochures are avaiable at many (most?) hotels. Your donation of 450 pesos (about US$35) goes to aid Mexican children with cleft palette receive surgery, helps feed poor school kids and other needed services. The tours are led by IFC volunteers. Except for the bus rental fees, all funds go to IFC projects. (I am not a member of IFC or PV resident).
Most of the houses offer spectacular views of Banderas Bay of the Pacific Ocean. Each is unique and lavishly done. You are free to explore but be prepared to climb stairs, lots of them. Many are for rent and the time one spends visiting four home (about three hours) offers a glance at the upscale home rental or sale market as well as an orientation to PV, I have been going to PV since l968 and never tire of visiting these gems of houses and helping kids at the same time,
