“Romantic Serene Experience with a touch elegance”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

This elegant restaurant is in the heart of the romantic zone in Puerto Vallarta took our breath away. We ate there twice breakfast and dinner. Our server Ranpas provided exceptional service making menu suggestions that just blew our taste buds away. The food, environment, and experience are worth every peso :) Next time I'm in PV I will pay them a visit.

“Marcos is the best”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

We had dinner at La Palapa last week - on the beach - and enjoyed everything about it. Marcos, our server made it a most enjoyable evening. Everyone in our group of 8 enjoyed his/her meal with no complaints. Great atmosphere, great help, great food.

“Wow! Great Food & Service”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

We were recommended by several people in PV to dine at La Palapa. And it definitely did not disappoint. Whether you're a couple or a family looking for a great place to eat and drink, this restaurant is the place to be.

Starting with the location and atmosphere, the restaurant is situated on the boardwalk with ocean views. We went for dinner and decided to sit inside, but by the patio edge so we could feel the nice ocean breeze and hear the waves. But one could also enjoy dinner right on the beach.

Service was top notch. The servers were fluent in English, were very attentive and thoughtful. I even think we got better service here than at some 5 star restaurants in Vancouver, BC!

The food was also very excellent. Not too expensive but also not bottom prices either. I would say very very good value for what you get. And what you get is fantastic! Rivaling some of the high end restaurants we go to in our own backyard.

Each appetizer was well executed (we recommend the tortilla soup, lobster taquitos, coconut shrimp and the tuna stack; yum!). They had fresh mussels on special and that did not last very long at our table.

Then came our entrees which were absolutely wonderful. We definitely recommend the chicken and the seared scallops. And my gosh the scallops were perfectly cooked and quite sizable. I almost couldn't finish the dish with the appetizers we had.

And then there was the Mexican flaming coffee. All we had to say was wow! Did not expect the servers to put on a show but we were thoroughly impressed. If you have room after a full meal then you must definitely try this coffee, if not for just the show!

Thank you La Palapa and our primary server Max, for making our last family night in PV a most memorable and fun experience. This restaurant is worth every penny and we will recommend you to everyone we know.

“This is where we go for a nightcap and dessert. The BEST!”
Reviewed November 11, 2013 via mobile

This is one of my favorite night spots. We like to sit at a table in the bar area. Us girls like to order the flaming sexie coffee which is a fire show in itself. The desserts are so deccadant. What really brings us here is the music. We love Bob he plays a mean flute along with his partner who plays guitar. The music is great! I love when they start playing the music of cat stevens black bird etc. The great atmosphere and being right by the beach is beyond great. A bit pricy but we dont mind. You get what you pay for. This place is well worth every penny you spend.
