Just back after 4yrs, our experience was still wonderful. We were with our friends and arrived 7:30 a little earlier than normal dining in PV but were 2 other couples in the restaurant.
We all had different dishes and all came displayed beautifully and the food was excellent and cooked exactly as expected..in fact amazing. Although a little more pricey than some other top end places, the amount of food was great and very satisfying.

The fillet mignon bargalia was as perfect as 4yrs ago experience..chicken des artiste, crazy good, shrimp portugal huge and perfect, and pepper crusted tuna..wow! You cannot go wrong with either. Prices range from 300-430 pesos (about 25-35 Can/US, but you will be satisfied with portions. We are from Canada and nothing compares to this ambiance and preparation..we would pay $40-50 per plate

Service was very attentive and gracious..we were well taken care of.
The decor of le bistro is amazing, and if you can catch jazz night Fridays, it is romantic and a cool place to entertain with friends or as a couple..take advantage of seating along the river in the evening, a great place to experience what Puerto Vallarta has to offer!
This was the place my wife spent her 50th and proved to as great as before. Enjoy!!

After dining in this old favorite for years we decided to take friends to LeBistro for the first time knowing this is one of the more expensive venues in Vallarta. Well all the prices had been raised on average of 25% for the upcoming holiday season. Every single item on the menu was covered with a higher price. When the waiter was questioned he got very nervous and told us "I don't know. The owners are over there, you would have to ask them". Not to make this is big issue with our guests I let it go and we ordered our appetizers and entrees. Service wend down hill from there. Salads arrived and no cracked pepper was offered until nearly finished. Entrees arrived and one of our guests dinner was not at all what he ordered. Took 20 minutes for the correct entree to arrive. Not as much as an apology was offered. On the way out I asked the three " managers" at the reception area about the increased sticker pricing on the menu and was told that indeed all the prices have gone up do the cost of food. I told them if that was indeed the case they should reprint all the menus as this is not the type of restaurant one would expect stickers covering every single item on the menu with HIGHER prices and was basically blown off. Le Bistro has long been a favorite of ours over the past 20 years. Needless to say we will not be returning. There are dozens of other fine restaurants in Vallarta with much better quality food at half the inflated prices we paid.

I've never eaten there. It's the most beautiful restaurant I've ever seen, but I think of it more as a "lounge". The statues, the ambience is second to none. Service is slow, but genuinely pleasant.

A great location along the river Cuale. Light jazz to complete a great ambiance and setting.
Service was prompt and pleasant without being intrusive. Food comes quickly because of table turn over. Salad with goat cheese had little cheese, Cesar had romain lettuce cut in small pieces, Pâté to die for and very good tortilla soup. Main courses were Crepes with shrimp, mushroom soup, duck breast with black berries and shrimp Spanish style. The meal was very good but quite expensive. Shrimp $360 pesos, duck $ 316 pesos etc. etc. great place for a romantic date.
