Stayed for 4 nights as first time to Puerto Vallarta. Upon arrival the front desk staff seemed quick to get us out of their hair. We stayed in a studio with kitchenette. It was nice to be able to prep our own meals and buy food to store as we wished. Otherwise, the room was quite dated and felt a little rough around the edges. The mattress was rock hard too. However, all rooms (as far as I can tell) have an oceanside view and deck which makes sunsets amazing.
The pool area is nice with private beach access. The wait staff is great. The overall guest population seems a bit older though - which made us feel out of place at times being in our mid-twenties. The nightlife is nonexistent and you must leave to do anything past sunset.
Overall the visit was pleasant for someone wishing to eat and drink poolside and soak up the Mexican sun.More
