Am a 40-year veteran of PV, love it, but this must be brought up. Normally we stay in our timeshare in the hotel zone, but have stayed in various hotels often throughout the years along the Bay, from Punta Mita to Mismaloya. Friends had planned to visit near Christmas, so we decided to join them at Dreams. Although the service was extremely slow, and the spa was expensive and left a lot to be desired, the food and refreshments were excellent. Unfortunately, along with this came the bed bugs. It is the first time in PV, or anywhere, for that matter, we have experienced them. Our friends also had several bites. We could not possibly be the only group who has had bed bugs in their room. My friends reported it in checking out, in the book. My husband and I did not realize we had been bit until we returned home.

This is magical place, with magnificent views of the ocean and the fabulous grounds. The food is excellent at all the resturants,an endless selection of cocktails at the poolside bar. Also the 24 hour room service is great.Surprised to see how kid friendly the resort is.

this was our second time at this resort. I can't say how amazing it is. The service is nothing short of excellent. The staff make this place extremly unforgettable. The weather was great. The restaurants are fabulous, amazing food especially the sea side grill, and el patio. Even though we never brought our little girl, this place is great for kids. Lots of other families we seen had kids from 2months and up. The movies on the beach are great. One of the highlights for this resort are you do not need any reservations for the a la cart restaurants, so you have a choise every night on where you want to go. If you want room service that also is good. This is also a secure and private resort, with not to many peddelers. They leave you alone if you don't want anything. This must be a great place for weddings to since we seen at least 10 in the week we were there. The ziplining adveture was also great, you can book right from the hotel. To end this is absolutly recommended to go here.

exceeded my expectations. had not been to an all inclusive and was impressed. The food was fantastic, gourmet!!! Location was a short cab ride downtown. If there was a downside, no long walks on the beach, but that turned to a plus as the resort was secluded, but had all the fun of the big beaches. Entertainment was provided, vendors were friendly but not pushy, lots of activities if you want to partake. Would go again in a heartbeat. Beds were super comfy!!

A little disppointed the hotel had such wonderful reviews, when we got there I was very disppointed with the state of the rooms (had the old and yucky feeling to them) and the hotel itself. We have stayed at much nicer hotels with lower star power and paid less $$$. The service was not that great, the only really bonus to the hotel was it had a great beach and the food was awesome. I would probably never go back.

My husband and I, along with friends recently returned from a week at Dreams. This was our 2nd visit to the resort and it still exceeded all our expectations. Our compliments to Boni, congierge in the preferred tower, to Orland & Fernando at the Barracuda Bar, to Jose at Seaside Grill and to Sergio in the World Cafe. These fine employees made our stay awesome.
The food in all the A La Carte Restaurants was more than excellent, best Filet Mignon we've ever had. Our suite in the Preferred tower was worth the extra cost.
The hotel was full during our week and there were some large groups there but this did not effect our stay in the least.
We are already planning our next trip to Dreams.
Thanks to everyone for making our Dreams Come True

My husband and I had our wedding at Dreams PV last week, in the company of 18 guests, and it could not have been more perfect. The resort is beautiful and the staff are wonderful. From the moment that we arrived at the resort we were treated fabulously. We stayed in the older building and had 10 rooms scattered amongst the floors, which was quite alright by us. This hotel books up quickly and completely so we were happy to have rooms at all. On our excursions we met people that were staying at other hotel chains because they were unable to get in to Dreams, they were very jealous of us! We met many people that were reoccurring guests at the Dreams Resort which indicates just how excellent it is. The rooms were clean, functional and the ocean views were second to none. Isidora took care of our room and made sure that it was tidy, the fridge was stocked, the turn down service was perfect and decorated our rooms with fruit baskets and rose petals. The resort grounds were amazing; you are never far from a pool or the ocean and the gardens are breathtaking. I left my patio door open every night and fell asleep to the sounds of waves. The beach has fine sand and many palapas and chairs (no need to go to the beach early to get a chair). The pools varied in temperature and ambiance but all were great. There are quiet adult pools and fun activity pools for everyone's different tastes.Towels, sunscreen, books, boogie boards, volleyballs... etc. were all readily available at the resort. There is an entertainment team at this resort who ensure that everyone is smiling and happy. Activities ranged from beach or pool volleyball, pirates/Mexican dinners, comedy night, live bands and fireshows to movies on the beach (with a popcorn machine, candy and pop). The attention to detail at Dreams PV was amazing; even the ashtrays are stamped with a seashell and decorated with flowers and incense. The restaurants were delicious, I never had a bad meal. Reservations are not accepted but wait time was minimal, if any. The staff was very friendly and funny, we were always kindly greeted and everyone was willing to help us out with anything we needed. The bars at the resort were great and the bartenders never ceased to amaze us with their wild concoctions. The resort is secured and gated so there is no need to wear tattered old wrist bands for a week. Our wedding was unbelievable thanks to Esman, our planner. He put together a stunning sunset wedding for us and all I had to do was tell him my favorite colors! Cristel, our photographer spent hours with us and took over 800 photos, she was great! Diego edited the pictures and created a beautiful slideshow and photo album. Those two work for Adventure Photos, which has an office right at the resort. We went on an excellent snorkeling excursion through Vallarta Adventures (which we booked at the Amstar office in the resort), I would highly recommend snorkeling at Las Caletas. Members of my group booked various different excursions including horse riding, zip lining, rhythms of the night and a city tour, all had a great time. Dreams is located 5 minutes out of PV so it is very private and surrounded by lush jungle; it has so much character and uniqueness compared to the noisy 'commercialized' hotels downtown. The people in my group are experienced travelers and have stayed in many all inclusive resorts in Mexico/Cuba/Jamaica and we all agreed that this was by far the best. The small size, beautiful beach/landscaping/pools and the friendliness of the staff made this an experience that we won't soon forget. We will definitely be back next year!
