My husband and I just returned from a week at Dreams Puerto Vallarta. Both of us have food allergies. At dinner, our first night, we showed our food allergy lists to the hostess and she called Roman, the food and beverage manager for the resort. He made sure that every restaurant at the resort including the buffet restaurant, knew what we could and could not eat. The service was wonderful and the staff amazing. We had a room in the old tower on the 20th floor (actually the 10th floor). Although it is an older hotel, the rooms had been updated. The beach is sandy and secluded and the grounds are very lush with mature tropical plants. This hotel would be less desirable for someone with mobility issues since there are quite a few stairs to get to the beach and the restaurants. I would recommend a Dreams vacation at this resort and we hope to return again.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are beach views, although most of the rooms in the old tower have only Juliet balconies. Our room was very spacious with a comfortable king size bed.

I just spent 10 days at the Dreams resort and it was wonderfully relaxing. I have been to Cozumel and now to PV and by far loved PV over Cozumel! Bethy and Jose are wonderful people who at any moment were there to help answer any question or assist in anyway. They had great events planned and delicious food everyday. The bartenders at the swim up bar were so helpful and most willing to make what ever I asked for! And they were so fun to be around! This was the best resort in Puerto Vallerta for sure!!

Room Tip: Rooms with a balcony are more expensive, but if you are a smoker you should snag one of these up!

I recently had my wedding of 41 people in this resort and Fatima the wedding coordinator was very helpful! From the beginning she made it easy to pick out menu items and flowers with great descriptions and pictures through emails before our arrival. Our wedding was very hassle free, just what we wanted and the setting was incredible! The hotel is very clean, polite, and has many activities throughout the day and in the evenings. It didn't seem overcrowded and service was very fast. The one thing that I could say that I didn't like, what that my wedding reception was cut short because of the beach noise curfew. They just started tearing down things without a 15 minute warning. We had to move to the sports bar to continue our night of dancing. Things seemed a little rushed.

The two buildings are both beautiful. I didn't see the need to get into the "PreferedClub" side.

Room Tip: Get a room above the 5th floor if possible. The view is that much more amazing.

My girlfriend and I spend 10 days in The Dreams Resort and it was one of the best resorts ive stayed at in a long time. I travel a lot for work and have stayed at many 5 stars. IE Ritz, Peninsula, Fairmont, Rosewood.
The food was excellent different selection everyday from the buffet and beach themed dinners every night. The fire dance was one of the highlights of the trip.

we opt for the upgrade to the preferred towers. the best investment you can do for the trip and i highly recommend it. the room came with a jacuzzi hot tub and a spectacular view to wake up to.

The service was above and beyond. I have to give a special thanks to Lourdes (i dont think i spelt her name right) from the front desk was amazing.

we will definitely return or stay at any Dreams

This hotel is right on the beach and every room has a beach view. We were in the old tower on the 20th floor (actually 10th) and the view was fantastic. Slept with the balcony doors open and fell asleep to the sounds of the waves crashing to shore--gotta love it! Hotel is a little older but fairly well kept. Our room was a good size, clean and well equipped with stocked fridge, coffee maker, blowdryer, etc. There were no bathrobes in the room when we checked in but asked and they were there the next day. Service was very good everywhere at the resort. We like to spend most of our time at the beach but every now and then like to try the pools--here they are small, cold and busy. It was difficult to get a lounger at any of the pools except the one right outside the old tower. There are four a la cart restaurants which were all quite good with the Oceana being our least favourite. The buffet was decent and then there are the cafe and beach grill for limited choices.

A major complaint is that there is no free internet service if you stay in the old tower not even in the lobby--what the heck is that this day and age?? If you want internet you can go buy minutes in the store and use them in the cafe at one of their two computers or you can purchase internet for your room for an exorbitant amount at the front desk. Our friends did the presentation and got a room upgrade to the preferred tower and that room included internet--like come on!

If you have never been to Puerto Vallarta be careful at the beach the waves are always a little rough but can get really crazy at times. There were three wave related accidents while we were there--one leg injury and two face injuries involving many stitches and one broken nose.

Overall, this is one of the best resorts we have stayed at and definitely the best location we've ever had.

Room Tip: The higher floors will have the best views. If you take binoculars you can do some whale watching.
